Microsoft’s upcoming action-adventure game “Crackdown 3” won’t be released this year. It’s been pushed back to 2019, according to two anonymous sources who spoke with Kotaku.
This is not the first delay for “Crackdown 3.” It was originally scheduled to launch exclusively on Xbox One in November of 2017, but was pushed back to spring 2018. At the time, Microsoft Studios Publishing general manager Shannon Loftis said the delay was meant to give developers the time needed to “ensure a quality experience.”
“‘Crackdown 3’ is an incredibly ambitious project that pushes the technological envelope with immersive true 4K gameplay, cloud-computing competitive multiplayer, and a sprawling and futuristic open world,” Loftis said. “The team has been working extremely hard to deliver a great experience for fans and this extra time will help us do just that.”
Now, it appears the developers still need more time, which doesn’t bode well for the Xbox One...

In the wake of news on The Last Of Us 2 and Super Mario Odyssey, some gamers are upset that Microsoft doesn't seem to be focusing too much on offering exclusives to their player base. Microsoft's general manager of publishing's Shannon Loftis defended the Xbox One's lineup of exclusive titles and says there are unannounced exclusives in the works:
"I think our offering is good and it is solid. I definitely hear that gamers want more. [...] We do have more coming; more that are in the works that we're not talking about now. But I feel good about what we have to offer for the launch [of Xbox One X]."
As for what else Microsoft might have planned, Loftis did provide an update on the Fable franchise not too long ago, and almost hinted that the company had something in development. As for what else Xbox owners can expect as some wait for the Xbox...

Remedy’s time-bending adventure game Quantum Break will be date for a release on Xbox One this week, according to Xbox Boss Phil Spencer.
Having skipped an appearance at E3 back in June, it’s understood Microsoft will place a heavy emphasis on the upcoming third-person title, along with fellow exclusives such as Crackdown and PlatinumGames’ Scalebound. Fielding questions via Twitter, Spencer didn’t openly confirm that an announcement would be made, though judging by the tone of the Tweet, a release date seems imminent.
@VagelisVala You’ll see on Tuesday. I think you’ll be happy.
— Phil Spencer (@XboxP3) August 1, 2015
Originally pegged for a release at the tail-end of 2015, Remedy opted to postpone Quantum Break into 2016 to avoid being smothered by the other software headed to Xbox platforms this holiday season – most notably Halo 5: Guardians, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Fabled Legends and Forza Motorsport 6. At the time,...

In accordance with previous reports, Microsoft Studios has today confirmed that Remedy’s time-shifting, third-person shooter Quantum Break has been delayed into 2016.
Previously tethered with a nebulous 2015 release window, that lack of updates from both parties led many to question whether the Xbox One exclusive would make its original due date. However, we know now that this isn’t to be, and Microsoft Studios released the following statement explaining the postponement.
“With so many Xbox One games launching this year, moving Quantum Break to 2016 extends our incredible portfolio into next year with a monster new IP,” said Shannon Loftis, Head of Publishing at Microsoft Studios.
“We’re really proud to be part of the incredible Xbox One line-up,” said Sam Lake, Creative Director at Remedy. “We thank our fans for their patience, and want them to know that the team is taking advantage of this opportunity to polish and fine...

Quantum Break is delayed until 2016, and unlike other delays they are upfront about the excuse.
Quantum Break was set to release in the Fall of this year, but Xbox boss Phil Spencer stated before that they have so many games releasing they were not sure if all would actually release. Well it seem Quantum Break is the game that got the move.
According to Xbox the delay is simply due to the crowded lineup of titles releasing at the same time. “With so many games launching this year, moving Quantum Break to 2016 extends our incredible portfolio into next year with a monster new IP,"Shannon Loftis stated.
She also mentioned that their lineup includes Halo 5, Tomb Raider, Fable Legends, and Forza Motorsports 6 with "more titles to be announced in the coming months." Thus they want a game like Quantum Break to extend this to next year.
