Andrew Lincoln's last episode of The Walking Dead is nearly upon us, and fans aren't the only ones heartbroken over his exit. In a touching tribute video shared by AMC, Lincoln's current and former costars - IronE Singleton! Michael Cudlitz! Steven Yeun! The late Scott Wilson! - gushed about their leading man.
"He's one of my best friends, ever. He's very, very dear to me," Norman Reedus said. "He's taught me to be a better father, better friend, better actor." Lauren Cohan, who plays Maggie, also chimed in, saying, "Andy is one of the most kind and generous people that you could ever work with."

If you somehow missed the fact that Rick Grimes's journey on The Walking Dead was about to end, this will definitely clear that up for you. AMC dropped the trailer for the fifth episode of season nine, which will only ever be referred to as "Rick Grimes's Last Episode." The previous episode set the death of our favorite cowboy in motion, ending with him impaled by a rebar with two hordes of walkers closing in. So it's not looking good for ol' Rick.
The trailer for episode five promises an intense and emotional trip, with what looks like Rick attempting to herd the walker hordes back to Georgia, away from the currently established communities. While we can only speculate about what this episode will bring, we do know that it will feature the return of Shane Walsh (Jon Bernthal). From the looks of it, Shane will be back as...

The Walking Dead 9×05 is now so close we can almost smell the rotten flesh wafting up from those mindless walkers. And, well, let’s just say Rick Grimes has found himself in quite the pickle.
Last night’s installment of the AMC flagship left viewers on something of a cliffhanger, as the wounded Rick lay unconscious on a roadside teeming with zombies. It’s by no means the character’s first brush with death – far from it, in fact – but given his days are now numbered, we’re beginning to fear Andrew Lincoln’s series stalwart won’t make it out in one piece; rather, he’ll fall victim to the horde of walkers, just like his son Carl before him.
Don’t read into that one too much, though, as AMC has just unleashed a series of HD photos for next Sunday’s episode, in which you’ll see...

Well, that was it, folks. You just witnessed the penultimate episode for Rick Grimes on The Walking Dead, as Andrew Lincoln’s set to bow out of the show next week. Despite the cliffhanger ending we got tonight, it’s still not 100% clear how exactly the fan favorite character will make his exit, with the cast and crew teasing that he may get a peaceful end to his story.
Whatever ultimately happens, at least a few faces from Rick’s past will be stopping by next week – presumably in flashback or hallucination form – and one of them just so happens to be Jon Bernthal’s Shane Walsh. The actor’s set to swing by The Walking Dead for Lincoln’s final hurrah and now, we have our first look at him.
Seen in the promo above – or the screenshot below – is a quick glimpse of Shane, as he sits beside Rick in a car.
