Jimmy Iovine and Liberty Ross celebrated their wedding Sunday night with an insane celebrity guest list ... and perhaps the all-time greatest wedding band performances. The party went down at David Geffen's Beverly Hills mansion and since Iovine is the co-founder of Interscope Records, the talent was ridiculous -- we're told Mary J. Blige and Swizz Beatz performed. But the main event was Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett's duet on the jazz classic, "It Don't Mean a Thing.

The Miss America pageant finally said sorry to former winner Vanessa Williams, waiting long enough for another Vanessa Williams-and-a-half to have been born before doing so. “On behalf of today’s organization, I want to apologize to you and to your mother, Helen Williams,” Miss America Organization CEO Sam Haskell said to the competition’s first black winner during Sunday night’s competition. The pageant forced Williams to resign her 1984 crown when nude photos from her past were published in Penthouse magazine. Why Haskell had to bring Vanessa’s mom into this is unknown, but it finally closes a...

ABC promised a history-making “twist” during Sunday’s Miss America competition; what it didn’t mention, however, was how incredibly uncomfortable that twist would be.

Following Williams’ performance of “Oh How the Years Go By,” the Ugly Betty star was joined on stage by Miss America CEO Sam Haskell, who apologized — both to Williams and to her mother in the audience — for the way the committee (allegedly) pressured Williams to resign from her position in 1984, following the release of her nude photos.

The 95th annual Miss America competition was held on Sunday night at the Boardwalk Hall Arena in Atlantic City, New Jersey, with Kevin O’Leary, Amy Purdy, Danica McKellar, Taya Kyle, Zendaya, Vanessa Williams, and country star Brett Eldredge all serving as judges. It was an eventful evening, which kicked off with a performance from Williams, who then finally received an apology for having been forced to resign in 1984 due to a nude photo scandal, after having become the first African American to ever win the Miss America title in 1983. Miss America CEO Sam Haskell made the onstage apology to Williams, saying that although “none of us currently in the organization were involved in it, on behalf of today’s organization, I want to apologize for anything that was said and done to you and to your mother, Miss Helen Williams. I want to apologize for anything that was said or done that…...

Better late than never? Back in 1983, Vanessa L. Williams was the first African-American woman to win Miss America. However, just a couple of months before the end of her reign, Vanessa was forced to resign when Penthouse magazine obtained unauthorized nude photos of her and revealed plans to publish the images.
After the scandal, Vanessa's career as a singer and actress still flourished -- more than most, if not all, Miss America contestants -- and last night at the 2016 Miss America pageant, Vanessa finally got an apology from the organization that took away her crown.
Vanessa, now 52, was the head judge of the September 13 pageant, and during the show, pageant CEO Sam Haskell offered a formal apology:
I have been a close friend to this beautiful and talented lady for 32 years. You have lived your life in grace and dignity, and never was it more evident than during the events of 1984 when you resigned.

It’s pilot season, which means your favorite out-of-work TV actors, actresses, creators and writers are getting a chance to return to the small screen once more.
Although we have yet to know what new series we’ll see next year, the networks have been busy selecting projects to consider for their schedules. So far, almost 100 scripts have been chosen, and audiences will only get to see a handful actually come to fruition.
Several are duds, but there are a few promising prospects that I hope network executives will keep around for the 2013-2014 season — even if it means they have to cancel old favorites to make room (just keep Parks and Recreation, Ok, NBC?).
Check out my choices for the best prospective ABC and Fox pilots, and read my selections for NBC and CBS if you missed them yesterday:

Bethenny Frankel kicks off her talk show hosting duties Monday (June 11) with singer, actress and author Vanessa Williams as the first guest on "Bethenny." The Skinnygirl mogul and "You Have No Idea" author chat about their tenuous relationships with their mothers and how it carries over into how they raise their own children.
Bethenny vowed to never speak to her estranged mother, Bernadette Burke, again after Bernadette told Star magazine earlier this year that Bethenny and husband Jason Hoppy were headed for divorce. While Vanessa and her mother, Helen Williams, mended some fences by co-writing the memoir "You Have No Idea," in which Vanessa reveals she was molested as a child and had an abortion in high school -- secrets she kept from her mom.
"I don't want to repeat a lot of the stuff that I went through ... my mother would say, 'No' and I'd say, 'Well, you know what?...

I was at work and I thought this was the day that I could come home, because I had a little extra time at lunch, so I did. And I came home and I thought, ‘Why do I smell bacon in the house? And why is there music blaring in my house. There should be nobody home’ And so I went downstairs in the den and there was Vanessa [with her boyfriend] on the pullout couch…I didn’t think, because all I could do was call my husband because he’s the clear thinker. And I thought, ‘either I’m going to kill her or I’m going to get her father here to help.'
