Angie Averitt is an award-winning content producer, storyteller, and executive who has worked with almost every major studio and distributor.
Angie's career in film and television began at 20th Century Fox, where she served as a creative associate for Emjag Productions at New Regency Productions. Here, she played a pivotal role in developing projects like The Wolf of Wall Street, The Crowded Room, and the horror franchise title Mirrors, among others.
After several years at New Regency/Emaj Productions, Angie was recruited by 20th Century Fox Theatrical to bring her creative storytelling to their strategic content marketing division. While there, she applied her love of cross-platform storytelling by creating groundbreaking, interactive content campaigns for properties such as Avatar, the X-Men, Alvin and the Chipmunks, and Ice Age franchises, as well as fan favorite films like 27 Dresses, Jennifer's Body, Bride Wars, and others.
Angie was next lured over to the agency side of the business by the promise of producing 360 entertainment-driven immersive content for IPs at Marvel, UbiSoft, Fox Searchlight, Warner Brothers, HBO/Max, FX, TBS, Lionsgate/STARZ, Netflix, and other major studios, television networks and streamers.
After a few years, she was lured back home to 20th Century Fox, this time to work in Home Entertainment, where she helped launch their VOD platform. During her tenure here, she created original cross-platform branded content for Fox and strategic partners such as MGM, United Artists/Lightworker's Media, Showtime, FX, AwesomenessTV, WWE, and others.
Angie Averitt grew up loving classic and beloved rom-com and female-centric titles, from Steal Magnolias to Can't Buy Me Love, When Harry Met Sally to Heathers, Legally Blonde to 13 Going On 30. She swears she has seen every episode of Sex And The City at least 10 times. Her passion for female-focused and female-driven films prompted her to return to her feature development roots by joining PFM Entertainment Group to work on their slate of female-driven films and long-form series in development.
Ms. Averitt is a graduate from The University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Film and Communications, which ignited her passion for telling stories across different platforms to entertain and engage audiences, driving the evolution of storytelling with her passion for meaningful, immersive and entertaining narratives.
