Isis Valverde is a Brazilian actress born in Aiuruoca, Minas Gerais. She moved to Rio de Janeiro to pursue her acting career. She debuted on TV in 2006 as Ana of the Veil, one of the most popular characters in "Sinhá Moça", a TV Globo soap opera aired at 6 PM. This was the first soap opera ever to be nominated for Emmy International.
Isis Valverde built her career working on many popular projects on TV, such as "Avenida Brasil" (2012) - one of the TV Globo's best-selling soap operas abroad-, "O Canto da Sereia" (2013), "Amores Roubados" (2014), "A Força do Querer" (2017), and "Amor de Mãe" ("A Mother's Love", 2019).
She has also built a solid career in cinema, working on movies such as "Faroeste Caboclo" (2013), "Simonal" (2019), and "Ângela", her upcoming movie.
The role of Anna of the Veil in Little Missy (2006) was her screen debut. Since her identity was kept a secret by producers, her face was literally unveiled to the public when the character finally revealed herself in the story.
