Geoff O'Brien(II)
- Editor
- Producer
- Editorial Department
Over the last 20+ years, Geoff has cut everything from news and documentaries, to comedies and drama, to competition and [pause] let's call it...unscripted. He has been a major creative contributor and editor for series including including FX/Hulu's Framing Britney Spears, The Weekly from The New York Times, Fiasco on Epix and PBS's Frontline. He also worked on three award-winning feature documentaries, Note By Note: The Making of Steinway L1037; Brick By Brick, a documentary that chronicles segregation in the Yonkers public school system and It Started As A Joke, chronicling Eugene Mirman, his comedy festival, and the choice to end it after 10 years.
In television, Geoff has applied his talents to many shows across a wide range of genres-from Mob Wives (VH1) to Jesus: The Lost 40 Days and Roanoke: Search for the Lost Colony (History) to The Circus (Showtime), and many others. More recently, Geoff has served as Executive Producer and Supervising Editor on AMC's travel series Ride with Norman Reedus.
When he's not in a dark room attempting to answer questions like "how many frames is considered a beat?" [read: 12], Geoff is at home with his wife and three young boys. Most likely, there's a glass of Bulleit nearby.
