- Music Department
Michiel Hollanders is a Dutch guitarist, sound engineer / producer, and
instrument designer. He is mostly known for his work with Balkan-Folk
group Parne Gadje (acoustic guitars) and singer-songwriter project Big
Low (various self built instruments) He has studied classical guitar,
jazz guitar, music technology and has been specialising in various folk
styles over the years. His playing has for a large part been inspired
by music for other instruments than guitar, which accounts for his
unique style of playing. His more recent work includes producing an
album for Australian artist Carl Cleves. His unique self built
instruments such as the Velofoon and Fietsbandbas have been used on a
number of records, either played by himself or others.
