As expected, the Cannes Film Festival line-up is pretty spectacular with new films from Yorgos Lanthimos, Andrea Arnold and David Cronenberg heading to the fest.
As the days are getting longer and there’s a tiny bit more sunshine in between the showers of rain, that can only mean one thing. The Cannes Film Festival is almost upon us.
Of course, us peasants rarely get to go, but it is fun to read the reactions from the glitzy world premieres as the stars gather in the picturesque town of Cannes.
And this year’s festival line-up is a doozy. We already knew George Miller was heading to the Croisette with Furiosa, Francis Ford Coppola is bringing Megalopolis and Kevin Costner will be premiering his new film, too, but there’s a whole heap of great filmmakers heading out to the beach with their films.
The highlights include Yorgos Lanthimos’ Kinds Of Kindness,...

If you’ve been theorizing that Armand has a hand in the suppression of Louis’ painful memories in AMC‘s Interview With the Vampire, the newest trailer for Season 2 adds more fuel for that fire. Louis’ memories come flooding back in the new Interview With the Vampire Season 2 trailer, released during The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live finale on Sunday, March 31, and they’re a doozy. We see Claudia (Delainey Hayles) scream, “It’s never been about me!” from the Théâtres des Vampires stage, her face bruised and bloodied, Louis attacking Lestat (Sam Reid) in a fit of rage, and more painful moments as Jacob Anderson‘s troubled vampire tells Daniel Molloy (Eric Bogosian) they need to “get every detail right” in their Dubai interview. It’s a gut-wrenching experience for him as “all those years” start “coming back.” Claudia is initiated into the Parisian vampire coven, which Armand...

Interview With the Vampire just dropped the best trailer you’ll see all season. Cut by series creator Rolin Jones, the three-minute Interview With the Vampire Season 2 trailer shows passionate moments between Louis (Jacob Anderson) and Armand (Assad Zaman) as their relationship develops, but underscoring it all is Lestat’s (Sam Reid) haunting presence and flashbacks to his time before Louis, a time when he met Armand and seemingly had an intimate relationship, and a building intensity of the Dubai interview in 2022. As if that weren’t enough, the trailer also reveals flashbacks to young Daniel Molloy’s (Luke Brandon Field) original interview with Louis in San Francisco in 1973. “You don’t understand the meaning of your own story!” the young journalist yells, directly referencing a line from Anne Rice‘s original novel of the same name. It also reveals Succession‘s Justin Kirk speaking to present-day Daniel (Eric Bogosian) in a mystery role.

Assad Zaman found out halfway through his Interview With the Vampire audition process that he wasn’t just vying for the role of Rashid. Unbeknownst to the actor, 33, series creator and showrunner Rolin Jones had big plans for his presence in what would become the hit TV adaptation of Anne Rice‘s most famous novel. The Season 1 finale revealed the truth behind the curtain: Rashid wasn’t assistant to Louis de Pointe du Lac (Jacob Anderson) — he was the 514-year-old vampire Armand, equipped with the flying “cloud gift” that Lestat de Lioncourt (Sam Reid) concealed from Louis for so long. Viewers will meet the real Armand in Interview With the Vampire Season 2, premiering Sunday, May 12 on AMC and AMC+. We know fans are dying to see this character fully fleshed out, so what do we know about Armand already? For starters, we know he’s of vital importance to Rice...
