Guess what kicks off this week? Hallmark’s Countdown to Christmas!!
That’s right, folks. We’re still celebrating spooky season, but Christmas is already upon us. Who’s ready??
In addition to Christmas, we’ve got the Billions finale, Fellow Travelers, and 30 Coins, among other things. Find out what we recommend you watch this week.
Saturday, October 21
8/7c Where Are You, Christmas? (Hallmark)
What would happen if Christmas ceased to exist?
Well, in addition to the pretty enormous faith-based ramifications, the world would be a lot less colorful with a lot less joy.
Where Are You, Christmas paints the picture using the colorless world that we wouldn’t want to experience. This will be a Hallmark movie to remember!
8/7c Twas the Text Before Christmas (Gaf)
Texting doesn’t exactly elicit the warm fuzzies, but this Great American Family original aims to prove otherwise.

Pretty Little Liars will return to stalk a new group of teenagers with its upcoming reboot.
HBO Max has added Chandler Kinney and Maia Reficco to the cast of Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin.
Kinney will play Tabby, an aspiring director and horror movie buff.

Maia Reficco will play Noa, a striving, sardonic track star who's working hard to get her life back to normal after a summer spent in juvenile detention.

If you're already adrift without another Hallmark Original Series to watch, you're not alone.
But we have good news today as Crown Media announced new original programming and some renewals we've been waiting for.
Most importantly, there are two renewals to announce that join When Calls the Heart for (fingers crossed) a 2021 release.
Good Witch will return for a seventh season, and Chesapeake Shores will return for a fifth season!
Hurrah!
As you know, Good Witch Season 6 just ended on quite the cliffhanger.
It was the first season in which Bailee Madison didn't appear as Grace, and in Rhys Matthew Bond only made guest appearances as Nick.
Without the younger cast, the adults got a lot more storylines, and love flourished.
Cassie (Catherine Bell) and Sam (James Denton) celebrated their one-year anniversary and began to grow under each other's influence.
The proved that there is always something left to learn about your partner.

While Hallmark Channel has been in the yuletide spirit since October (!), the family-friendly network will officially kick things into high gear on Thanksgiving Eve with the debut of a new original movie every night for the duration of the extended holiday weekend.
Not to be outdone, Lifetime will debut not one, but two movies per night — not that it’s a competition or anything!

As Paul Harvey used to say: And now, the rest of the story. “Unbroken: Path to Redemption” serves as a kinda-sorta sequel to “Unbroken,” Angelina Jolie’s harrowing 2014 drama about the War II experiences of Louis Zamperini, the Olympian distance runner and Army Air Forces bombardier who survived 47 days on a life raft after his plane crashed into the Pacific Ocean, then endured two years of merciless torture in a Japanese Pow camp. This follow-up — which, like its predecessor, is taken from Lauren Hillenbrand’s nonfiction best-seller “Unbroken: A World War II Story of Survival, Resilience, and Redemption” — focuses on Zamperini’s postwar struggles with alcoholism, crushing disappointment (an injury prevents him from competing in another Olympics), and recurring nightmares and hallucinations triggered by Ptsd.
There is a happy ending to the story — but, unfortunately, it doesn’t arrive nearly soon enough.
It would be unfair, and not entirely accurate,...

Unbroken: Path To Redemption, the film that follows the second half of Louis “Louie” Zamperini’s life and covers the second half of the Laura Hillenbrand’s New York Times‘ best-selling book, has moved up its theatrical release date to Sept. 14 from Oct. 6. By making the move, it takes the picture off the same weekend as Sony’s Venom and Warner Bros.’ A Star is Born and moves it to a weekend occupied by Moses and then the wider releases of Lionsgate’s A Simple Favor and Fox’s The Predator.
The original Unbroken was released via Universal Pictures in 2014 around the Christmas holiday. The continuation of the story was directed by Harold Kronk (God’s Not Dead and its sequel) from a script by Richard Friedenberg and Ken Hixon and was produced by Matthew Baer and Mike Elliott. The film is from Universal 1440 Entertainment, The Wta Group, and Pure Flix.

The faith-based filmmaking world is wasting zero time. Hot on the heels of the breakout success of Christian indie “I Can Only Imagine” this past weekend, faith-based production company Pure Flix has released a first look at their next big feature: a sequel to Angelina Jolie’s 2013 true-life drama “Unbroken,” albeit one with a very different bent than the one put on screen by the filmmaker nearly four years ago.
Later this year, Pure Flix — also known for releasing the “God’s Not Dead” films, soon to be a trilogy — will release their sequel, “Unbroken: Path to Redemption,” a Christian-leaning follow-up to Jolie’s Louis Zamperini biopic “Unbroken.” None of the Jolie film’s original cast or crew is involved with the film, which follows the war hero upon his return to the States after being held as a prisoner of war during World War II and his eventual turn to born-again Christianity.

Mark Schwahn has been accused of sexual harassment by 25 female crew members who work on his E! soap “The Royals.” The women all signed an open letter in which they describe “repeated unwanted sexual harassment” at the hands of Schwahn. The creator was accused of similar allegations earlier this week by the female cast and crew of “One Tree Hill.”
“Upon reading a statement from the ladies of ‘One Tree Hill,’ a statement from their Royal sisters could not possibly go unwritten,” the letter begins. The women say they were aware of the rumors surrounding Schwahn’s behavior on the set of “One Tree Hill” but went into the filming of “The Royals” hoping they were “just rumors.” “By the time we wrapped this had irrevocably proven not to be the case,” they write.

I, like many horror fans, know that the werewolf movie is the hardest of all the horror sub-genres to get right. For every American Werewolf in London, there’s an American Werewolf in Paris… But once in a while a movie comes along that successfully captures what makes the genre great. Wolves is one such movie.
Written and directed by David Hayter, who has penned such blockbuster films as X-Men and its sequel; and the film adaptation of Watchmen, Wolves tells the story of Cayden Richards. Your typical all-American jock, Cayden goes on the run following a vicious football incident and the murder of his parents – possibly at Cayden’s hands. You see Cayden is changing and not in your typical high-school teenager way.
