Amber Tamblyn may be checking out of House but the young budding starlet isn’t preparing to leave the Fox family just yet. According to Deadline, Tamblyn is teaming with ‘House’ executive producer Katie Jacobs and ‘The Wire’ co-creartor Ed Burns for a project about a young public school teacher. The drama project has a script commitment from the network.
Jacbos and Tamblyn came up with the idea together while working on ‘House,’ and the duo brought in Burns to further develop the project together. Burns will write and Jacobs is set to direct.
Tamblyn’s first TV role was Emily Bowen (later known as Emily Quartermaine) on the soap opera General Hospital, a role that she played for six years (from 1995 to 2001).
