- Her Great Grandfather, Sepahsalar-e-Khalatbari Tonekaboni was of the Royal Khalatbari family and served as Prime Minister for 4 terms. His highest military title was Commander in Chief. His enormous wealth led him to be the Chief Financier of the Persian Empire. The parliament passed a resolution to crown Khalatbari Tonekaboni as the new King of Persia, however, he refused the title and instead surged a constitutional democracy.

- The great film critic Roger Ebert writes a great review and likens Anita Khalatbari's acting to Faye Dunaway's by saying; "as the monstrous if well-intended Maryam, Anahita Khalatbari gives a turn that's like a more deliberately comic version of Faye Dunaway's maternal control freak in "Mommie Dearest". It's that good and doubly remarkable in being Khalatbari's first screen role".
