Dustin Varpness
- Actor
With classic, square-jawed good looks, Renaissance man Dustin Varpness
brings to mind the leading men of Hollywood's Golden Age; however, the
actor is a thoroughly modern one. Varpness, born in Olympia,
Washington, moved to LA to pursue his passion for the arts. Shortly
after arriving, Varpness was given his first taste of the festival
circuit as Deric in the critically acclaimed short film 'Dirty Love'
(dir: Michael Tringe). He then found himself studying with the
venerable Michael Woolson, who he would like to thank for his life
changing mentorship. Under his tutelage he worked on films such as
'John Lee' [dir: Marie Lee], 'Connected' [dir: Nathan Brunskill], and
'Positive' [dir: Ethan Lader]. After appearances on the Discovery
Channel, the Disney Channel and ABC Family ['The Secret Life of the
American Teenager'] he now looks towards the stage with much
anticipation and excitement. Varpness, a local resident of North
Hollywood, enjoys spending his free time rock climbing in the Santa
Monica Mountains, crushing the pavement on his 650 and creating mind
opening abstract paintings. He would like to thank Jason Crain for his
great vision and guidance in the role, Brad Gilmore for this wonderful
opportunity, his incredible cast members for their continual positive
input, support and talent, and his agent Melissa Hirschenson for always
believing in him. Hope you enjoy the show!
