He was on board of Ethiopian Airlines Flight 961, which crashed in the Indian Ocean, near the Comoros Island.
Amin was owner of the Camerapix company which was founded 1963 in Dar es Salaam.
He lost his left arm during an ammunition dump explosion during the Ethiopian Civil War.
Amin was an renominated photographer during the Palestinian Black September to seize the control of Jordan in September 1970.
