- Ernesto Hoost is known for Vechtershart (2015), K-1 Star Wars '96 (1996) and K-1 Grand Prix 2001 (2001).
- Four-time K-1 World Grand Prix champion. He won the 1997, 1999, 2000, and 2002 WGP's. In 2002, he was able to win despite losing to Bob Sapp twice. In the first round he lost to Bob Sapp, but when Sapp's second-round opponent Semmy Schilt was forced to withdraw due to injury, he replaced him. Sapp beat him again but injured his hand, enabling Hoost to then replace Sapp and go on to defeat Ray Sefo and then Jerome LeBanner to win the GP.
- Holds victories over such K-1 greats as Peter Aerts, Andy Hug, Jerome LeBanner, Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic, Francisco Filho, Stefan Leko, and Mike Bernardo.
- Defeated Peter Aerts twice, both times by decision.
- Defeated Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic three times, the first by TKO (Low kicks), the second by TKO (Body Punch), and the third by decision.
- Has officially retired to focus on training fighters. He is the trainer of current UFC Heavyweight contender Antoni Hardonk.
