Two outings for The Toxic Avenger and a surprisingly good vampire movie feature in this month's Bottom Shelf...
The advent of high definition technology has ushered in an era of unsurpassed quality in terms of the home-cinema experience. With TVs now able to match filmmakers' original visions closer than ever, the path has been cleared for the true maverick masters of cinema to shine on the small screen. Which brings us to Troma Entertainment head honchos Lloyd Kaufman and Michael Herz, whose final two Toxic Avenger sequelsmake their way onto Blu-ray this month.
Not by any stretch of the imagination a pair of essential HD releases (you could argue the grainy footage of any Troma film is best viewed on ancient VHS), The Toxic Avenger Part III: The Last Temptation Of Toxie and Citizen Toxie: The Toxic Avenger IV are what they are: both the best and worst of Kaufman...

Well Go USA has acquired all North American rights to Snowfort Pictures and Automatic Entertainment’s American Muscle.
Commercial and music video director Ravi Dhar’s arthouse action-thriller stars Nick Principe, Robin Sydney, Todd Farmer, John Fallon, Trent Haaga and Malice McMunn.
The story takes place in California’s Yucca Valley as an ex-con embarks on a mission of revenge against his brother.
John Fallon wrote the screenplay and Travis Stevens produced alongside Jeffrey Giles and Michael Lurie.
“We set out to make a different kind of action film; something beautiful and exciting,” said Snowfort’s Stevens. “We can’t think of a company better suited to bring Ravi Dhar’s unique vision to audiences than Well Go USA.”
Stevens brokered the deal with Well Go USA president and head of acquisitions Doris Pfardrescher.

If there’s something you must know about the man featured in the trailer for Ravi Dhar‘s American Muscle, it’s that he doesn’t care if he gets caught and he certainly doesn’t care if he goes back to jail. Now that that’s cleared up, we can move on to the epic blaze of hellfire he’s about to rain down upon these suckers. You see, John Falcon (Nick Principe) has been locked away for 10 years and he’s hankering for some revenge. What he did is unclear, but who cares? He’s got a Confederate flag decorated with guns, an endless line of ladies down to get down, more ammo than any man should ever have, and an insatiable need to kill every person responsible for putting him in prison. This all occurs within 24 hours of getting freed, too. It’s exploitation at it’s finest (or lowest) – less talking, more...

"He doesn't care if he gets caught... He doesn't care if he goes back to jail..." Holy shit this looks insane! If you're in the mood for some wild and crazy exploitation revenge, then stop here first. Snowfort Pictures has unveiled a promo/sales trailer and poster for Ravi Dhar's badass exploitation thriller American Muscle, starring Nick Principe as John Falcon - a man released from prison who goes on a 24 hour revenge binge to kill "every person who had a hand in sending him there." One description for American Muscle boasts: "This movie has more sex and exploding heads than a David Cronenberg dream." Ya, this looks f!&king nuts. Here's the first Nsfw trailer for Ravi Dhar's exploitation thriller American Muscle, from Twitch: John Falcon (Principe) did 10 years of hard time in prison. Now he's got 24 hours to get revenge on every person who had a hand in sending him there.

Hit makers Snowfort Pictures have been on a hot streak lately with Cheap Thrills, Big Ass Spider and Jodorowsky's Dune all hitting the festival circuit in the last year. Up next is Ravi Dhar's directorial debut American Muscle. Currently in post-production, one producer called the action-thriller a "contemporary exploitation thriller." Here's more: Starring genre vets Nick Principe, Robin Sydney, Todd Farmer, John Fallon, Trent Haaga and Malice McMunn and set against the desolate landscape of California's Yucca Valley, the film follows a recently paroled convict hell bent on revenge against those whom he holds responsible for his incarceration...including his own brother. The film is hitting the sales block at next month's American Film Market and we've got an Exclusive look at the very Nsfw...
