Nicolás Aznarez's career began at INDIAS FILMS and MOJO FILM (Uruguay - 1995 to 2003), where he produced documentaries ("Punta del Este to the World," "South Atlantic Report", "Bird' flights") and advertising campaigns for international clients such as Visa, Coca Cola, Vodafone, McDonalds, Panasonic, Absolut, Carlsberg, among others.
2003, moved to Los Angeles to develop a Latin division for "A BAND APART", Quentin Tarantino and Lawrence Bender's mythical company.
2006 moved back to his hometown and founded EL CAMINO FILMS, the first Uruguayan production company specialized in Film Production Services. Since then, Clients, Agencies, Producers and Filmmakers around the world rely on his expertise for the production of their projects.
2007, O2 Filmes, Brazilian production company of multi-award winner and Oscar-nominee Fernando Meirelles, hired Nicolas & his team for the production service of "BLINDNESS", a film based on Nobel Peace Prize winner, Don Jose Saramago which had its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival.
2010, Co-produced "THE SPEED OF THOUGHT", directed by Evan Oppenheimer, filmed in Punta del Este and NYC.
2012, started to develop the first Free Trade Film Zone in South America , a unique legislature that will provide the country with studios & back lots facilities which along with the services offered, will generate a competitive production hub developing a solid, self-sustaining and better industry in South America.
2014, as an Associate Producer, Aznarez worked with The Denver Post from Colorado USA, to produce the documentary "ROLLING PAPER" based on the experiences of Colorado and Uruguay governments, in what it was a very controversial law: The Cannabis legalization.
2014, the leading high-impact entrepreneurship network ENDEAVOR, recruit him as a mentor so to advise & share his expertise & know-how to develop more & better business leaders.
2017, was in charge of CNN production of Anthony Bourdain, "Parts Unknown" TV series while shooting in Uruguay.
2018, AMC hires him to run their TV Series, "Ride with Norman Reedus" while shooting in Uruguay.
Founding partner of the Uruguayan Audiovisual Chamber.
Promoter and developer of "Punta del Este Studios", the Special Economic area for Audiovisual Services (zona franca), that is planned to be built in Punta del Este 2022.
Promoter and local partner of the "New York Film Academy" for the development of an operation in Punta del Este, Uruguay operating for the region.
