Originally from the rural town of Blue Earth, Minnesota, Makenzie Caine
began her career singing and dancing atop the above-ground, concrete
well on her family's small horse farm. From there, she began performing
in school and community musicals, dance recitals, and choral groups
before deciding to pursue a degree at Brigham Young University's
competitive Music Dance Theatre Program. She left BYU early to sing and
dance for a year at Universal Studios in Japan, and shortly thereafter
relocated to New York City. After studying at the American Musical and
Dramatic Academy, Makenzie appeared in the Off-Broadway production of
"The Rise of Dorothy Hale." She began her film and television career
with roles in
All My Children (1970) and
As the World Turns (1956),
and in 2012 appeared in
That's What She Said (2012).
Most recently, she starred in the feature length film
Solomon Grundy (2012).
Makenzie is also a talented musician, having already released one original solo album with another being released in the summer of 2014.
