Asif Ali will play Mir Dar, a hardworking son whose eager to impress his father, Baba — a scrappy immigrant who arrived in the U.S. broke and built an empire from scratch. Saagar Shaikh will play Mir’s brother Raj, who’s a pot-smoking and entitled playboy who lives the high life on his father millions.
Alfie Fuller has also been cast to play Prairie, Raj’s shaman, an “Afro-futurist” hipster who lives with him and various other hangers-on in stoner heaven luxury.

Exclusive: Fox is going royal with its latest animated comedy development.
The network has handed a script commitment to Price Wawa, an animated comedy from comedians Tim Baltz and Lily Sullivan and exec produced by Cobra Kai creators Jon Hurwitz, Josh Heald and Hayden Schlossberg.
The comedy centers around a naive merman prince, voiced by Baltz, who juggles life between the ocean, the only home he’s ever known, and his new life on land with his human mother in the breathtaking metropolis of Tampa, Florida.
Baltz, who stars in HBO’s The Righteous Gemstones, and Sullivan, who appeared in Netflix’s sketch show I Think You Should Leave with Tim Robinson, will write and exec produce Prince Wawa.

Here are several noteworthy TV projects that have been sold recently to the broadcast networks: The CW has bought the music-themed hourlong Prickly Spheres, from writer Matt Goldman as well as Jeff Kwatinetz's production/music management company Prospect Park. The project centers on a talented teen who forgoes classical music scholarship to Julliard to joins a new indie alternative rock band whose quirky but talented members are barely adults themselves. Vision Art-repped Goldman and Kwatinetz are exec producing with Rich Frank and Paul Frank. This is the second music-driven project in the works at CW in addition to Todd Graff/Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas' Acting Out. Fox is developing an animated comedy project from New York-based standup comedian/actor Godfrey and veteran writer Kenya Barris. Based on Godfrey’s standup routine, the 20th TV-produced project will focus on the people in his world, including his relationship with his father, a conservative Nigerian immigrant.
