The creation of multi-talented artist Klaryssa Korolenkov, electro-rock unit Chamber of Echoes incorporates seductive, danceable tunes with an exotic, high-tech theatrical presentation, blending elements of fantasy with dark futuristic overtones. Elaborate visuals, sets and costumes are a key component of their live shows, which dazzled audiences at high-profile L.A. clubs and found them sharing venues with cult faves like Shiny Toy Guns, Dommin and Stolen Babies. Now they've brought that same energy and vision their first video, which we're proud to premiere right here. “World of Silence” is the first single from the album of the same name, which is on track for release later this year. The video was helmed by acclaimed director Chad Michael Ward – whose background includes projects for Marilyn Manson, Combichrist, Aiden and Black Veil Brides – with costumes designed by Eirik Aswang (True Blood) and Carrie Slutskaya. Subliminal imagery, which the band has sometimes incorporated into their promotional art,...

Mesfin Fekadu's picks:
1. Nas, "Life is Good": "I am a graphic classic song composer," Nas raps on the intro to his latest album. And he's right. You may disagree, but Nas is the best rapper alive, and with "Life is Good," he's got the year's top album, regardless of genre. On "Life," he's spitting rhymes about his ex-wife, Kelis – like the soulful "Bye Baby" – his daughter on "Daughters" and his childhood on "A Queens Story." He's a top-notch lyricist with a knack for storytelling, and it all makes for impeccable music. He knows life is good, and so is this album.
2. Of Monsters and Men, "My Head Is an Animal": The Icelandic fivesome have melodies that are eerie, jamming, groovy and overall epic. The voices of the male and female lead singers blend so beautifully that it sounds like magic.

-- Shiny Toy Guns, "III" (Five Seven Music)
From its opening track, the runaway love jam "Somewhere to Hide," to its closing number, the piano tune "Take Me Back to Where I Was," Shiny Toy Guns delivers a flawless collection of tunes on its third album, "III."
The beats throughout are flavored with dance, rock and synth-pop sounds enhanced by vocals from Chad Petree and Carah Faye, who has rejoined the Los Angeles quartet after leaving the band and missing out on 2008 album "Season of Poison."
Her voice – light and satisfying – blends magically with Petree's on songs like "Waiting Alone" and the outstanding "Carrie." Faye also brings on the swag on the rock-charged "Speaking Japanese" and "Fading Listening," with its summertime hip-hop beat. Her return is much appreciated – and much needed, helping make "III" one of 2012's best.
Check Out This Track: "Somewhere to Hide," the first track, is where you should start.

You wanted it, you got it. Whatever you think of this weekend's outrageous found footage party movie "Project X" there is no denying that the filmmakers provided a serious playlist to accompany the debauchery on screen. And while 13 of those songs were collected for the official soundtrack that was released earlier this week, we've heard from more than a few readers that they want to know every song that was featured in the film. Well, we've tracked down that list and here it is: all the music that rocked your eardrums in "Project X."
And really, there is something here for everybody. For people looking for straight up party bangers there are more than a few options, but for stuffier folks who like their music to be critically approved and maybe slightly more underground, bands like The xx, Four Tet, Amon Tobin, Animal Collective and LCD Soundsystem are all featured.

It's one thing to make a comedy about reckless teenage debauchery, but if "Project X" doesn't sell the audience that this is some truly unbridled mayhem, none of it works. That's why every ingredient is crucial, and wisely, the folks behind the film have delivered a soundtrack that is undeniably made to raise the roof.
The disc opens promisingly with "Trouble On My Mind" by Pusha T, though according to the iTunes tracklist, it appears that this version is the one without Tyler The Creator (which is kind of ridiculous, but the beat and vibe still slay). Helping to keep things going is Kanye West's DJ A-Trak who drops his own "Ray Ban Vision" and also twiddles the knobs on Yeah Yeah Yeahs "Heads Will Roll." Bringing some old school flavor is Nas with "Nasty" while Snopp Dogg hangs with Dr. Dre for "The Next Episode." And no party...

There's a reason the tagline for the O Music Awards is "offbeat, outrageous, online." And for its second edition this year, MTV's signature online awards show will once again attempt to make history, this time by hosting the longest dance party in history.
The 55-plus-hour dance-a-thon will be live-streamed at OMusicAwards.com and should wrap up just before the main show kicks off at 11:30 p.m. Et on Halloween (October 31), hopefully with a new Guinness World Record in hand. Those of us born in the '80s or early '90s have a tendency to wax nostalgic about the television shows we enjoyed as kids, and how kid TV has only gone downhill since then. That is, with the exception of Yo Gabba Gabba. Not only is Christian Jacobs (a.k.a. The Mc Bat Commander) of The Aquabats the creator of the show, but it features a constant stream of artists who adults actively listen to, including of Montreal, Jimmy Eat World, The Roots, Mates of State, Shiny Toy Guns, and The Shins. (I wish I'd had such solid taste in music when I was five.) Now Damian Abraham of Fucked Up, who is already known for his crazy on-stage antics, is another associated artist with the show. He recently led a dance routine during a live Yo Gabba Gabba performance, where his wife and son were in...

The Sympathy For Delicious Movie Trailer has premiered. Mark Ruffalo‘s Sympathy For Delicious (2010) stars Christopher Thornton, Orlando Bloom, Laura Linney, Juliette Lewis, and Noah Emmerich. Sympathy For Delicious (2011)’s plot synopsis: “A newly paralyzed DJ gets more than he bargained for when he seeks out the world of faith healing.” One of the more interesting aspects of this film is that it was written by real-life paraplegic Christopher Thornton, who is also the star of the film. There is also the fact that his character, ‘Delicious’ Dean O’Dwyer, can heal other people and their afflictions but he is unable to heal his own. Some of the music contributed to the film was from “The Besnard Lakes, Shiny Toy Guns and Cedric Bixler-Zavala of The Mars Volta fame.” Watch the Sympathy For Delicious movie trailer below and leave your thoughts on it. Because I’m a sick and severely twisted individual, I honestly can’t wait to get my hands on a copy of director Ryan Lightbourn’s extremely promising action/horror hybrid “Roid Rage”. Not only does it feature a carnivorous hemorrhoid ripping out some poor bastard’s eyeball, it also makes very good use of Shiny Toy Guns’ cover of Peter Schilling’s “Major Tom”. What more could you possibly ask for? Before you answer that pertinent question, be sure to properly investigate the embedded trailer. In fact, I won’t even bother prepping you with an official plot synopsis — just grab your ankles and dive right in. Did I mention this thing isn’t safe for work? Oh, yeah. Singer/songwriter Kimberly Cole is right where she wants to be. With her new "Smack You" remix album and single charting on Billboard, she is now preparing for the much anticipated release of the song's video. She has performed with the likes of Katy Perry, Lmfao, Shiny Toy Guns, and was once a champion roller skater. Her unique brand of pop is catchy, clever, and playfully tongue-in-cheek. Always looking to change things up, she writes on the edge and doesn't look down, only forward. One of Twitter's featured suggested users, Kimberly has over 1 million followers, all of whom are waiting patiently for what comes next. She's garnered the attention of the big guns in media as well - iTunes, MTV, AOL, Microsoft, Oxygen Network, Seventeen Magazine, and Huffington Post. Some might say that Kimberly Cole smacks of being the next big thing. She calls her fans "friends", has a guilty pleasure involving a Dr.

Pete Wentz kept (relatively) quiet about his new Black Cards project when MTV News e-mailed him earlier this week, though we were able to clarify one thing: Ashlee Simpson is definitely not singing in the group. But on Thursday (June 8), Pete Wentz finally broke his silence about the group, with a long message on BlackCardsMusic.com.
In the post, Wentz explains just why he felt the need to start the "new band" (this is also the first time he's addressed Black Cards as such, as far as we can tell), and talked about a trip to Jamaica that helped shape the group's sound.
"When [Fall Out Boy] went on hiatus, I wasn't really sure what to do with myself. I knew I wanted to keep travelling the world with my family.

The third day of Wmc 2010 proved to be monstrous. We started our afternoon with a chat with DJ A-Trak, whose highly anticipated Fool's Gold showcase would ultimately close out our night. From there, the day snowballed into controlled insanity as we caught up with Calvin Harris, up and coming artist Burnes, Ngdj winners Maya Vanya, industry sage DJ Dan, rising star Dennis Ferrer, prolific producer/DJ Kaskade, electro rockers Shiny Toy Guns and of course the insanely huge David Guetta. And that was all before lunch.
The afternoon temperatures soared into the 80s and our interviews only got hotter. We had the honor of hosting a long chat with the godfather of all dance music Tiesto and followed that up with chats with Deep Dish member Sharam, fresh and funky DJ Riva Starr and finally the legendary Paul Oakenfold.

A music video promoting Shiny Toy Guns' single "Ghost Town" off their second major studio LP "Season of Poison" has been premiered. Shot as an animated video, it starts with a capture of an abandoned placard, which read "Welcome to Ghost Town, Population Dead."
The video then continues showing the band, all portrayed as cartoon characters, singing the song. While they invade the town with their out-loud performance, zombies are seen coming out of the ground. Nearing the end, all the ghosts, including all the band's members, disappear when struck with the sunlight.
"Season of Poison" has been available for U.S. purchase since November 4, 2008. It marks the band's evolution after their vocalist Carah Faye Charnow left the band and was replaced by new singer Sisely Treasure.
