- Michael Hilf is an award winning American filmmaker. His film, Smoking Wet, is a dark comedy which explores the importance of changing one's head-space. The film recently received a Movie Score of 8/10 from Film Threat. His previous film, The Candidate, explores women's rights and the futility in the search for perfection. The film earned him numerous awards including the honorable mention award at the prestigious Cleveland International Film Festival. Michael founded The Film Factory in New York City where he worked as a director of local television commercials and music videos and also serves as the founder/president of The Ace Bar in the East Village. He is a graduate of the New York University Tisch School of the Arts with a degree in film. - Michael Hilf is founder and owner of The Ace Bar in New York City which is featured in many films and television shows including most recently "Master of None" with Aziz Ansari, The Late Show With David Letterman (opening monologue) , 200 Cigarettes with Ben Affleck, as well as multiple episodes of CSI. Ace is also home to one of the largest publicly displayed antique lunchbox collections in the world and was featured in a Gilbert Gottfried profile called "The Lunch Box Museum" on USA Network. Early on, when Michael was starting his collection, he purchased four of the lunch boxes from then out of work actor Quentin Tarantino.
