Master Abdullah was a Pakistani film music director. He was born in 1932 at Lahore, Pakistan. He died on Jan.31, 1994 at Lahore at age 62. Master Abdullah was the younger brother of legendary Pakistani film music director Inayat Hussain who was his teacher also, in composing film music.He was an uncle of famous Pakistani film music director Manzoor Ashraf.He began his film music career in 1962 with Urdu language film Suraj Mukhi (1962)but his real breakthrough came from the Punjabi super-hit film Malangi (1965). In this film, his film songs became extremely popular among the public. Master Abdullah, even in 2015, is still known for many unforgettable film songs in Pakistan. He composed music in over 50 Pakistani films-mostly in Punjabi language films.Master Abdullah had a reputation in Pakistani film circles for being very innovative in making his film- song- tunes.That's why many of his original compositions have been used and reused by many musicians to this day.
