“You like naked ladies huh? “ So I was asked by Hiroko Politz, a good friend of mine and a fellow Sgi member and Buddhist. I was telling Hiroko about my recreational time at Paradise Lakes and Lake Como, two of the many nudist resorts north of the Tampa, Florida area. This was in the 1990s and yes, one of the reasons I moved to Florida was to visit these nudist resorts. Because, to be truthful, yes I do like naked ladies. Ladies in general are my favorite people, undressed even more so.
Raised in a church going family I had a Mother was insisted the human body was never to be seen. Accordingly she burned a good many magazines featuring naked ladies. Not just mine but my three older brothers before me. Likely a good many of those magazines might be worth money now.
Being a typical American male, naturally...

Last week saw the 2014 Sundance Film Festival, and a slew of new films vying for people's attention. While some films may never make it in front of mass audiences, movie studios are always there to make some purchases. I've gathered up a list of some of those purchase announcements so that you can see what will be coming your way in the future!
Let's get started (these are copied from the press releases I received to better reflect the information):
* Lionsgate (NYSE: Lgf) and Roadside Attractions, and Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions (Spwa) each announced today that the respective companies have acquired rights in all territories to Craig Johnson’s drama The Skeleton Twins. Lionsgate and Roadside Attractions have jointly acquired Us rights to the film, while Spwa is taking all worldwide rights outside of the Us. Lionsgate and Roadside Attractions are planning a theatrical release for the feature film...

In separate deals that add up to $3.5 million and likely the biggest total so far for a film at the Sundance Film Festival, Lionsgate and Roadside Attractions bought domestic rights, and Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions bought the rest of the world on The Skeleton Twins, the Craig Johnson-directed film that stars Bill Hader, Kristen Wiig, Luke Wilson, Ty Burrell and Kathleen Rose Perkins. Former Saturday Night Live co-stars Hader and Wiig play estranged twins who reunite and look back over their lives after they cheat death on the same day. Lionsgate/Roadside takes U.S., Spwa gets other worldwide rights. They plan to release it late summer. This gives Lionsgate and Roadside Attractions a shot at redemption after Robert Redford singled them out for not pushing him for Oscars for All Is Lost. I’ve heard strong reaction for a breakout turn by Hader, who plays a suicidal sibling...

Live. From New York. It’s…Craig Johnson. Another product from the Duplass factory, after breaking out with the micro-budgeted SXSW preemed True Adolescents, Johnson remains in similar dramedy curriculum (read the descriptive journey here) with the help of lead off hitters in SNL’s Kristen Wiig and Bill Hader (they were a delicious combo in Adventureland) alongside thesps Ty Burrell, Luke Wilson and Boyd Holbrook. Round two behind the director’s chair began in November of 2012 with cinematographer Reed Morano (Kill Your Darlings) and Prod. Designer Ola Maslik (May in the Summer) in the Sundance alumni tech crew deck.
