Lila Lucchetti grew up in central New Jersey. At an early age it was
clear she had artistic potential. She was reading and writing on a high
school level while still in grade school and had her first gallery
showing at age 12.
She rejected several NY art schools and NYU in order to attend a
Division 1 university with anticipation of an athletic scholarship in
cross country and track. Her hopes were soon crushed when she tore her
ACL several weeks before her freshman year. As fate may have it, Lila
took this opportunity to immerse herself into her writing,
experimenting with screen writing and later stumbling across acting as
a prerequisite to a directing class.
Lila graduated magna cum laude from the University of North Carolina at
Wilmington majoring in theatre and film studies and minoring in
creative writing. Lila's many theatre credits in North Carolina
include: Lala Levy in "The Last Night of Ballyhoo," May Logan in
"Eastern Standard," Jessie Rose in "Insane in the Membrane?," and The
Pupil in "The Lesson." This spring, Lila can be seen in the Lionsgate
feature Cabin Fever 2.
