Jellyfish Originals, the kids and family content arm of animation, and VFX studio Jellyfish Pictures is moving into production on the animated series Stan & Gran.
Bangalore-based Xentrix Studios has partnered as co-producer and will provide animation services for the show. Banijay Kids & Family Distribution is on board as global distributor alongside existing co-production partner Jollywise Media.
The 52 x 11 episodic series created by Jon Mason has been commissioned by Channel 5’s preschool strand, Milkshake!. Recent production hires include Howard Read as Head Writer, Peter Griffiths as Producer, and Simone Giampaolo as director. Natalie Llewellyn and Jon Mason also serve as Executive Producers on the series.

During a new interview with BuzzFeed, the former “Drake and Josh” star took aim at Justin, Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande for their overly obsessive fans and their rise to stardom.
“I don’t think a lot of these young people have to work very hard,” the 27-year-old actor explained. “They’re found on YouTube and, boom, thrown into the studio so they think they can get anything they want.
