- In April, 2006, the Houston Chronicle named her one of ten women in broadcast news to watch and stated, "she shows exceptional ability to report. She's a future star".

In 2007, she joined CNBC as an anchor and NBC News as a business correspondent and analyst for the NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt (1970) and Today (1952). On January 9, 2012 she joined Bloomberg News as an anchor and correspondent. On April 6, 2015, she joined Fox Business Network as a business anchor and Fox News as a markets correspondent.
