Square Enix has lifted the curtain on a collectors edition for the HD re-release of Jrpg pairing, Final Fantasy X/X-2, which are poised for simultaneous release in March, 2014. In tandem with the announcement, the company also confirmed that the Vita iteration will be available on the same date as the PS3 edition — March 18th and March 21st in North America and Europe respectively — and, despite marketing campaigns stating otherwise, the two games will be bundled together for $39.99.
In a post on PlayStation Blog, Square Enix’s product manager Sakura Minamida announced that the pairing will be available through the company’s online store.
“The combo pack will also be available as a download on PlayStation Store. If you prefer a physical copy, you can buy Final Fantasy X at retail, which will include a voucher to download Final Fantasy X-2 from the PlayStation Store.”
