Have you ever wondered what happened to Michael Dorn after Star Trek? Me too! He’s in Agent Revelation…
Agent Revelation kicks off with some brilliant B-movie direction, approaching a house in the desert (and some sheep). Before we know what is happening, two middle aged men are chasing each other, while our B movie director does his best to make it look dynamic and exciting (he fails). Before we know what is happening. One of them is CGI effect, vomiting some blood onto the other one and some special forces types are then running him down.
We are in the future, with some sci-fi effects and some ripe acting. I do not want to...

"He can't get away with it." Netflix has revealed an official trailer for an action movie from France titled Sentinelle, starring the French-Ukrainian actress Olga Kurylenko. This revenge thriller is about a female soldier who returns to discover that her sister was sexually assaulted. Transferred home after a traumatizing combat mission, a highly trained French soldier uses her lethal skills to hunt down the man who hurt her sister. Klara will do everything to find the attackers and avenge her sister. This merciless hunt will lead her in the footsteps of Yvan Kadnikov, the son of a powerful Russian oligarch of the French Riviera. The film's cast includes Andrey Gorlenko, Michel Biel, and Carole Weyers. This looks gnarly. They're making more and more of these intense revenge stories about women, some are good, some are not that good. This one seems cool - especially with Kurylenko kicking some ass (with a sniper rifle!

"An eye for an eye." Netflix has debuted the first official trailer for a French crime thriller titled Earth and Blood, also known as La terre et le sang from its original French title. This is the latest film from director Julien Leclercq, it takes place in the heart of the mountains where a man and his daughter, Said and Sarah, run a sawmill family business hiring mostly ex-cons and young offenders, one of whom hid some drugs in the factory. Things get rough when the gang shows up for their missing drugs. Starring Sami Bouajila and Samy Seghir, with Carole Weyers, Eriq Ebouaney, Sofia Lesaffre, and Eric Kabongo. This is an intense trailer! That music definitely kicks things into high gear when it really gets going. A bit overkill? The story itself seems mostly generic but otherwise this looks good. Here's the first official trailer (+ poster) for Julien Leclercq's Earth and Blood,...

Three series from strong creative voices – Shane Meadows’ “The Virtues,” Nir Bergman’s “Just for Today” and the Fabrice Gobert-directed, and Netflix-backed, “Mytho” – shared major honors at an enlarged, hectic 10th Series Mania, now firmly established in festival, industry and discussion forum terms as one of the major TV events in Europe.
A story of redemption, unexpected love and imperfect fatherhood – a growing trend among drama series, Eurodata TV’s Avril Blondelot said at Series Mania – “The Virtues” won the Series Mania Grand Prix and best actor for Stephen Graham, a standout in Meadows’ “This is England,” who puts in profoundly affecting performance, by common consensus, as Joseph, a man who travels to Ireland to confront the demons left by a childhood in its care-system.
“From the first frame, ‘The Virtues’ moves you with its deep humanity. Masterfully directed, written and acted, the show is a prime example...
