Immortals stormed the weekend box office, but just prior to that, On the Red Carpet caught up with Kellan Lutz for a little chat about the immortal characters he plays and why he loves to play them. Check out the interview below:
“It’s fun playing an immortal character. I play Emmett in ‘Twilight,’ who’s a vampire, he’s super strong so he’s not afraid of death or being eliminated,” Lutz told OnTheRedCarpet.com host Chris Balish at the Los Angeles premiere of “Immortals” on November 7. “Poseidon’s kind of the same way — he’s the happy uncle to all the younger gods. Even though he’s a god, he’s a youthful god and he gets to play around and push buttons with Zeus as far as not to mingle with the humans and mankind. He takes a big swim. So, it’s fun playing an immortal character.”
The action film follows Greek peasant-turned-warrior Theseus (Henry Cavill), who was secretly chosen by Zeus to save his people from King Hyperion (Mickey Rourke) and his army of Titans. Theseus gathers a band of outsiders to aid him, including visionary priestess Phaedra (Pinto) and cunning slave Stavros (Stephen Dorff).
“I think the story’s so original, I know that’s what drew me to the project right away. Movies like ‘Clash of the Titan,’ which was amazing, and the remake’s gonna be amazing, but you know when the cracking is coming. This movie, I read it and I fell in love with it cause it’s so original, I don’t think people are really going to know what’s going to come next. I think they’re really gonna love it.”...

The folks from On the Red Carpet recently caught up with the actor behind the popular 90s portrayal of 'Superman,' in the Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman Tv series, Dean Cain, at the premiere of Immortals. And of course, Cain commented on Warner Bros.' Man Of Steel and it's new leading star, Henry Cavill. Check out what the actor has to say in the below video. "I think it'll be a nice rebirth of the franchise," Cain told OnTheRedCarpet.com host Chris Balish. "I think (Cavill will) probably do a fantastic job. I really have no idea though, ask me after I see it and I can tell you a lot more. The role is a big, giant role, there's so much to it. He's a classically trained Brit so I understand. I think he's going to be fine. The challenges for him are going to be miniscule.
