- Pitched NABF and Americal Legion baseball until 1968. Two years in Class B. The great Cleveland Indians pitcher Bob Feller cut Jimmy during tryouts for his team. Jimmy pitched against Mr. Feller's team that season. Went the nine inning distance, but lost 6-4. Jimmy shocked everyone when he stole 2nd base late in the game. He was left stranded.

- Jimmy's first professional actor job in 1966, Blues For Mr. Charlie, at The Karamu Playhouse in Cleveland was on the same stage Paul Newman previously did a play in his earlier career. Football great Jim Brown invited Jimmy at the dressing room to come to Hollywood for success after seeing him in the play. Soon after Jimmy finally arrived in Hollywood in 1968 he was traveling with The Fifth Dimension as an assistant on a recommendation from Barry Gordy of Motown Records.

- Jimmy attended the 60th Academy Award Oscar's in 1988. He wore a black After Six tuxedo with tails. His then wife was on one arm, and a female guest on the other arm. He refused to walk the red carpet because he was afraid the fans in the bleachers would not recognize him as an actor. So, he was escorted down the sideline directly in front of the bleachers to the main entrance. All along the way the fans constantly yelled out asking him, "Are you an actor".

- Hibiscus, a film in which Jimmy plays Homeless Boombox, premieres at The Hollywood Reel Independent Film Festival [HRIFF]. February 20, 2016.
- Silence premieres in Dances With Films Festival [DWF] at TCL Chinese Theatres. Jimmy plays role of 2nd Man In Black Car. June 2018.

- Jimmy was Dr. Brant on General Hospital in 1988 on The Accreditation Committee in an under-5 role that played seven shows over a three month period. He appeared once on the soap Generations that same year.
