Beverley Cook began her professional career as a political researcher at the House of Commons, followed by stints in publishing and radio journalism. She is a producer who makes films for both television and the cinema. Her credits include documentaries such as 'Desperately Seeking Shiny' about the Magnum photographer Martin Parr; award winning feature documentaries 'Stone Pastures'; an intimate portrait of a nomadic family in the Himalayas facing an uncertain future, and 'Moonbug', a film about the photographer Steve Pyke who journey's across the USA photographing the original space adventurers who had walked on the moon, as well as dramas such as 'Siren'. Her directing credits include 'Peter' for Channel 4's Queer St, and 'The Bath Philharmonia's' concert of Mahler's 6th Symphony and Beethoven's 8th - featuring Shoko Yokuru. As a production manager her drama credits include 'See Red' for C4/BFI and 'Escape to Somerset' for ITV. She is in development with a slate of fiction feature and documentary projects.
