Kelly Krause is an award-winning writer, director, producer, and "talking head" known for "Bone Detectives" and "Quest for the Lost Ark". She is the Co-founder of Nyx Horror Collective, a producer for 13 Minutes of Horror Film Festival, which streams on Shudder, and a Co-Founder of the Stowe Story Labs/Nyx Horror Collective Fellowship, which benefits woman-identifying horror screenwriters. She and her co-producers were awarded Best Short Film by the 2022 Rondo Hatton Awards (a.k.a. "the horror Oscars") for "13 Minutes of Horror: Sci-Fi," the only women-led project nominated in that category. Kelly's psychological horror short, "Storage," was backed by Couper Samuelson, President of Feature Films at Blumhouse, and screened at multiple festivals around the world; it was nominated in the "Best First-time Filmmaker" category at the Toronto International Women Film Festival and won "Best Dark Drama" at Oregon Screams Horror Film Festival.
Prior to entering the film industry, Kelly worked as an archaeologist, historian and media consultant, engaging audiences with immersive cultural narratives via exhibitions, TV programs, digital media, and creative non-fiction.
