So here he is. Himesh Reshammiya is back in front of the camera. This time he moves away from the wannabe-rockstar?s image to play a working-class nerd. Himesh?s Sameer is a bit of an idiot.
So he celebrates the departure of his over-possessive bossy girlfriend Shikha (Purbi Joshi) by dancing on the steets, making weird faces at passing chicks (who should be shown reciprocating with a stern scowl if not a slap but are instead shown giggling), messing up his tidy apartment and binging.

Damadamm may be her first feature film, but director Swapna Waghmare Joshi is an established and a hugely respected name in television circles. "Feature film was always on the cards and I am glad I am making my debut with Damadamm," Swapna tells me. Damadamm is a significant film for a lot of people involved with it, especially Himesh [whose Hr Musik presents the film], leading ladies Purbi Joshi and Sonal Sehgal and of course, Swapna. "I am a big fan of Hrishikesh Mukherjee's movies and wanted my first film to be on similar lines. Love stories seem to be the fav genre of dream merchants here. I've a hunch, if we ever do a count of romantic films made in Bollywood, it would easily score over other genres. The question is, how innovative can a love story get in today's times? Milap Zaveri provides the answer: Man from Earth, woman from Venus.
Having penned some likable comic capers in the past [Masti, Heyy Babyy], Milap's directorial debut Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai has liberal doses of light moments dominating the first half of the film and heartache and reunion following soon after, in its post-interval portions.
Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai works for its light moments mainly. It's bizarre to think of a love story between a human and an alien, but Milap garnishes it well with assorted characters, sets the story in the film industry and has several laugh-inducing moments. Resultantly, the first half is paisa vasool in filmi lingo.

Jacqueline Fernandez has replaced Ayesha Takia as the lead female character in Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai. The actress, who is also a former Miss Sri Lanka, claimed that she had told director Milap Zaveri that she didn't want to star in the film if she was playing second fiddle to Takia. However, it has also been reported that Fernandez got the lead because Takia dropped out to concentrate on her wedding plans, while Sonal Sehgal was drafted in to play the second female character. "Nothing scandalous actually happened," Fernandez told Real Bollywood. "I had originally auditioned for the character of Natasha [which is now being played by Sehgal]. I was keen to be a part of the film since I had loved the script. (more)...

Sri Lankan beauty Jacqueline Fernandez will be seen having special powers in her next Bollywood venture 'Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai'. No, she doesn't play superwoman...she plays a woman from planet Venus!Writer-director Milap Zaveri says his film is not a sci-fi action movie but a romantic comedy about Tara, a girl from Venus who comes to Earth in search of love. And that's why he didn't want his heroine to do daredevil stunts but she does have some super abilities - the Venus woman has the power to freeze time.''Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai' is a love story rather than a superwoman story. So there was no point indulging in anything that would have made Jackie (as Jacqueline is fondly called) appear to be overtly larger than life. Yes, she is different in a lot of senses and hence there had to be something special attached to her.

While celebrities like Kareena Kapoor and Eesha Koppikar swear by power yoga and Taekwondo to keep fit respectively, one film old actress Sonal Sehgal prefers kick boxing.
She has been training for the past one year. Though most people take to kick boxing for self defence, Sonal practises it as part of her daily fitness regime and trains every day for an hour.
“It’s a sport that not only works every muscle in your body, but also toughens your mind. After a one hour workout, I’m bursting with energy and feel ready to take on the world,” she said.
The “Radio” actress now schedules her days in such a way that she doesn’t miss out on her workout regime.
“Kick boxing not.

Radio arrives next week and Sonal Sehgal is one of the two leading ladies opposite Himesh Reshammiya. While a few out there are aware that she has also acted opposite John Abraham in yet to be released Aashayein (directed by Nagesh Kukunoor), not many are aware that she also has a released film to her credit. That's true. Sonal had made her big screen debut 4 years back in U, Bomsi N Me (2005) which was directed by Jairaj Padmanabhan. She was one of the leading ladies in the fi...
