Gregory Ekmekjian first gained interest in filmmaking after viewing the
film
Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981)
as a small child. This experience sparked his visual storytelling
ability and he began making super 8mm films and home movies using
family and friends as subjects.
As a student at the University of Southern California School of Cinema-Television Production program, he wrote and directed several narrative and documentary films as well as numerous multi-camera television productions.
After graduation, he established Watchman Productions which develops and produces independent films.
He marked his directorial debut with the short film Adult Behavior (2006) which was written by award winning writer Loren David Marsh.
His next directorial effort was with the short film Two Roads (2009) which is based on the poem The Road Not Taken by Robert Frost.
In addition to filmmaking, he also gages his creative energy in other mediums as a freelance nature photographer and a musician.
