Synopsis:
When raw gold is discovered deep in the woods, a group of gold hunters arrive to mine it. Several neighbors in the area witness the hunters by chance and find themselves in danger. Among the witnesses, hunter Ki-sung (played by Ahn Sung-ki) risks his life to protect the other witnesses and engages the gold hunters in a cat-and-mouse game of death.
Cho Jin-woong, who made the jump to leading man through films such as A Hard Day (2014), is a popular character actor with credits that include Roaring Currents (2014), Assassination (2015) and Park Chan-wook’s The Handmaiden. Veteran thespian Ahn Sung-ki recently starred in Im Kwon-Taek’s acclaimed 102nd work, Revivre.
Produced by Kim Han-min, director of Roaring Currents, The Hunt is scheduled to hit domestic theaters on June 29.
