Icelandic-American Ragga Thordarson works in the arts and is based in Los Angeles. Her background involves working as a Producer, Writer and TV Personality. Ragga has several years worth of experience in broadcasting hosting television and radio shows in Iceland. She also has worked as a Producer, Writer, Director and Consultant across various entertainment platforms ranging from new media to television. She has produced and sometimes directed commercials, sketch comedy, marketing videos, short films, sizzle reels, documentaries, television content and live events both in Iceland and in the US.
Ragga has worked extensively as an independent and creative Producer and also on projects for Reebok, Marriott, The Simpsons (Twentieth Century Fox), and in Iceland for The Icelandic Radio Company, Kiss FM, Bylgjan, Sirkus TV and Channel One. She wrote and directed the music documentary From Oakland To Iceland which premiered on MTV's Scandinavia website and on Iceland's RUV (Iceland's equivalent to BBC). She is a Co-Founder along with Director and Producer Peter Magnusson of the Icelandic Poniez, a Los Angeles based creative production team which produced mostly dark comedy and satirical content. Their work, focusing on sketches and short films, has been featured on Funny or Die and nominated for awards at film festivals. Ragga worked in live events for the guest speaker series at New York Film Academy, and then as the Director of Admissions of the Los Angeles campus. Currently Ragga consults and is Director of Recruitment at ArtCenter College of Design in Pasadena.
