Dawn McGhee

Dawn McGhee was born in Dallas, Texas to pioneer actor Bill McGhee, and
civil rights activist, Ina McGhee. After receiving her BBA from
University of Houston, minoring in Drama, Ms. McGhee sought roles in
the independent film community. She ultimately landed in several local
films and boosted her career in the music industry, under the moniker,
Rysque. She was coined the madam of hip-hop by Vibe Magazine. In early
2000, she participated further in music endeavors releasing, Peep Show
DVD/CD. This cascaded McGhee landing the producer role in the
documentary, Behind the Life and her first director role in the
documentary, New York 21.
