After shoving referee Kevin Mulhall at Ufc Fight Night 42 in Albuquerque, Jason High has been officially cut from the Ufc.
The power-wrestling former welterweight faced No. 5-ranked Rafael dos Anjos, who came in eager to prove himself after a loss to Khabib Nurmagomedov at Ufc on Fox 11.
High used his take-downs to find some early success, but he quickly ran out of steam as a huge lightweight fighting in high altitude. Dos Anjos who showed a well rounded game with superior endurance, eventually over coming High rocking him and unleashing some shots on the ground to earn a stoppage from the referee Kevin Mulhall. High was not impressed by the stoppage.
In fact, he hated it so much he actually pushed the referee. That’s not something that we see all that often, and in the end it cost High his employment with the Ufc. The Ufc could have handled...

Moments after his Tko loss to Rafael dos Anjos Saturday night, Jason High began protesting the stoppage, and in the process shoved referee Kevin Mulhall. At the post-fight press conference, Ufc Senior Director of Public Relations Dave Shoeller apologized for the incident, and stated “In the heat of the moment, a lot of things can happen, but you can’t put your hands on an official.” He indicated a fine or suspension would fall under the jurisdiction of the New Mexico Athletic Commission, but that the company would review the incident on Monday.
High took to twitter to apologize after the incident, posting “Incredibly sorry & embarrassed for the ref incident. Will never happen again.”
