A Jill-of-all-Trades raised in Levittown, New York, Nikki started as a
student in the performing arts at an early age. At 5 years old she
became a student at Broadway Dance Company in Hicksville, New York,
where she studied Tap, Jazz, Kickline for 11 years. When she was 8
years old, Nikki began her craft as a musician. As a student under
Island Trees School District and with private instructors, her training
includes performance in Piano, Voice, Clarinet, Percussion, Soprano
Saxophone, and Alto Saxophone in many styles of music. During her high
school years, she was a dancer of Island Trees Varsity Kickline, cast
member of the school's production of "42 Street" and "Joseph the
Amazing Technical Dreamcoat", and a performer in 9 different music
ensembles as a multi-instrumentalist and vocalist. Through her high
school education, Nikki found her true passion as a composer and
conductor, which became her main focus for a career path in the arts.
In 1997, she was honored as a NYSSMA (New York State School Music
Association) All State Jazz Vocalist and the following year an All
State Electronic Composer.
As a scholarship student at Berklee College of Music, Nikki graduated with a Bachelor of Music as a Film Scoring Major with a Conducting Minor. Nikki also received the honor as being in the first group of inductees of Island Trees High School Music Hall of Fame. She shares the honor with rock legend Eddie Money.
Debut credits include score for "Just Like it Was" and "Return of Shotgun George." Known mostly for her elaborate orchestrations with classical and modern strings, she has served as an orchestrator for music artist, Gordon Chambers and as orchestrator and studio conductor for indie rock band, Vary Lumar. Nikki also held credits as a voice over artist for an animated online news show "Boston 24 Action News."
For a short time Nikki was a co-owner of Bumbershoot Productions, a video and music production company in Boston. She served the roles as Producer, Director, DOP, Editor, Composer, and Marketing.
