- Although she did not win The X Factor UK (2004) in 2008, she did however win the most votes on the sixth week of the live shows gaining 31.30% of all votes cast that evening.

She was planning to sing Mariah Carey's "Always Be My Baby" until her doctor strongly advised her not to sing at all as it could cause permanent damage to her vocal chords. - In 2009, she won the title role in the West End revival of Jim Cartwright's "The Rise and Fall of Little Voice". In 2010, the theatre going public voted her the winner of the "London Newcomer of the Year" award at the Theatregoers' Choice Awards. In her acceptance speech, she said that she was "really nervous and had not won anything before" adding that "it is tough in the theatre world".
