The X Factor is not just about finding great voices, it also gives the Great British public a stab at getting their mugs on telly. And while many grab their opportunity with both hands by being funny or cute or, y'know, talented, others prefer to jump to the head of the queue by calling themselves something ridiculous.
Indeed, it was iconic pop-art pioneer Andy Warhol who once said everyone will be famous for 15 minutes. However, he never mentioned having to change our names to a foodstuff to do it...
1. Bun 'nd Cheese
"Why not be named after something that we love?" That was the argument put forward by Bun 'nd Cheese, the all-girl trio formed of Pinky, Patty and Peas (Peas!) who sadly failed to make it past the first auditions in 2010.
They forgot the lyrics, even their friends thought they were terrible and even friendly ol' Simon Cowell was speechless.

What better way to celebrate the life of one of the world's greatest ever singers? A man who sold over 150 million records and won eleven Grammy Awards?
Scoop up some rejected singers from The Voice UK, gather some rejected props from The Voice UK and assemble some judges not good enough to be rejected from The Voice UK. Then put it on BBC One.
Spread all over last Saturday night like tar, Frank Sinatra: Our Way featured seven 'talented but unknown music acts from across the UK' who were competing to win a slot to perform at the singer's centenary concert later this year.
Presented by Alexander Armstrong and Rochelle Humes, who were both doing the best with what scraps they had, we were confronted with a judging panel that comprised of Rufus Hound, Mica Paris, Dave Stewart and Leo Green. And they had absolutely no sway at all.

We've been looking forward to Boyband vs Girlband, Disco, Michael Jackson vs Queen Week for ages, and the people at ITV have just released tomorrow's songlist.
Fleur East performed 'Thriller' only last week, so that's not made the selection. And (thankfully) Andrea Faustini's week one performance of 'Earth Song' means we don't have to hear that again either.
We won't whinge too much about The X Factor failing to stick to the theme this week, though with over 60 solo Michael Jackson singles, they didn't really have to use any Jackson 5/The Jacksons numbers, did they?
Our complaint, as ever with Michael Jackson week, is the emphasis on the slowies.
Mj was as good a dancer as he was singer, and it's a shame they've not trusted any of the acts with the likes of 'Beat It', 'Billie Jean', 'Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough', 'Wanna Be...

The X Factor will have a Girlband vs Boyband theme on next week's show.
This year's run has so far included Number Ones, 1980s hits and Movies Week, while this Saturday's show is the Halloween-themed Fright Night.
X Factor Live Shows to be moved to Sundays next year?
Weekly themes are usually revealed on the preceding week's results show or Xtra Factor broadcast, but producers have confirmed the November 8 plans early.
The 2014 judging panel features former Spice Girl Mel B and ex-Girls Aloud star Cheryl Fernandez-Versini.
It is rounded out by former Boyzone and Westlife manager Louis Walsh and Simon Cowell, who has played a key role in the careers of several girl and boybands, including former X Factor act One Direction.
The eight-piece Stereo Kicks are the sole remaining boyband in the group, being joined in Walsh's category by mixed boy/girl group Only The Young.

X Factor returns this weekend and it's gearing up to take over your lives until Christmas. And even if you're the sort of person who would normally rather eat a plate of dog food than spend Saturday night with Louis Walsh, there are at least a couple of reasons to be excited about the show's 10th series.
1. Loveable oddballs.
Without X Factor we would never have seen Jedward performing the talking bit in 'Oops I Did It Again', watched Kitty Brucknell in a glow-in-the-dark catsuit, witnessed the horror of Diva Fever or, most importantly, been treated to the genius of Wagner.
From 'Loaf Shack' to bongo-drum bashing, from backing dancers rubbing their boobs to owning a pet lion, Wagner remains the greatest ever X Factor oddball in our eyes, but hopefully this year, he can be topped.
And don't even get us started on the greatest act to never reach the live shows.

On the 24th April, 2013, Jls announced that they are splitting after 5 successful years in the UK charts. It came as a bit of a surprise, as just two months earlier the group announced that they were getting ready to record a 5th studio album. Perhaps after noticing that each album they have made has sold less than the previous one, with their latest album, Evolution, being their worst selling to date, they have decided to end things on a high note, while they are still relatively popular. With all their success over the last five years, it is easy to forget that Jls first came to the public eye on the fifth series of The X Factor.
Unlike most groups on the show which are made up of contestants who auditioned as solo artists and got rejected, Jls auditioned as a group. Although the other two groups that Jls competed with,...

Gavin Henson may not have found love on his new reality TV show The Bachelor, but it seems he has found lust!
The rugby star – who was previously engaged to former child opera star Charlotte Church – is said to be rather taken with former X Factor contestant Layla Manoochehri. So much so that show bosses have provided him with condoms, in case things go a little too far.
Layla competed on The X Factor as part of girl group ‘Girlband’ in 2008. In December of that year, Blue singer Simon Webbe told The Sun that he wanted to marry the brunette beauty, who he had been dating for four years.
However they later split and now she’s trying her hand at reality Tv once more.
Speaking about Gavin and Layla,a source told The Sun:
“The pair are always sneaking off together for some ‘private time’.
“Producers are convinced there is some hanky-panky going on,...

Gavin Henson has been sent boxes of condoms by producers while filming new reality show The Bachelor. Charlotte Church's former boyfriend is searching for a new lover on the Channel 5 series, which features him taking a selection of 25 girls on extravagant dates. The girls, who live together in a luxury villa, will eventually be whittled down to one winner. Henson, who has two children with Church, has apparently struck up an immediate bond with hopeful Layla Manoochehri. Manoochehri, who was a contestant on The X Factor in 2008 with the group Girlband, has been enjoying large (more)...

Bookmakers are tipping Treyc Cohen to be the most successful wildcard act on The X Factor. On Saturday's show, it is believed that the judges will announce four wildcard acts. The new contestants will be chosen from a pool of acts, who just missed out on spots in the final 12. Cheryl Cole was spotted filming near Cohen's home earlier this week, fuelling rumours that she is the Girls Aloud star's extra pick. Paddy Power are now taking bets on which wildcard act will progress the furthest in the competition, which Cohen is currently leading with odds of 13/8. Cinema worker Paije Richardson (13/8), Diva Fever (5/1) and Wagner Fiuza-Carrilho (12/1) are also picking up plenty of support from punters at the moment. Girlband Husstle (20/1), (more)...
