Lesley Powers is a narrative writer/director based in Los Angeles. She's currently directing the web series - This is a Lot. Guest stars include John Michael Higgins, Jane Kaczmarek, and Dot-Marie Jones. She collaborates with the show's creator (and childhood friend) to bring a fresh perspective to the "joys" of motherhood. Powers has six short films under her belt and nine episodes of her web series.
Lesley is also currently in the final stages of casting for her first feature film, Besties! Adapted from a stage play, she and the playwright penned the screenplay. She has also written another feature film and three TV pilots, all currently at different stages of development. She strives to tell stories about the struggles of the human experience, mostly through the lens of female friendships. Her favorite genre is Dramedy, a firm believer that if you don't laugh you'll cry, and both are cathartic experiences on and off screen.
Powers is a graduate of Indiana University, Bloomington. She is a proud member of the Alliance of Women Directors (AWD) where she works with co-chair, Kylie Eaton, on the Rising Director Fellowship. She resides in Burbank with her husband and son, loves Funfetti cupcakes, and binging The Great British Baking Show.
