- Wanted to be an archaeologist before a filmmaker. This is one of the reasons why he enjoys making documentaries. "It's a marrying of both film and preservation of history.".
- Favorite directors are Luis Bunuel, Andre Tarkovsky, Guy Maddin, Stanley Kubrick, Christopher Nolan, John Carpenter and David Lynch.
