To truly understand the impact climate change is having on our planet, it helps to take a trip to the True North. That's the philosophy espoused by progressive-leaning news organization The Young Turks, which has produced a new docu-series that has launched on Go90.
True North follows an Arctic expedition co-led by John Iadarola, who co-hosts The Young Turks' ThinkTank channel, and Chavala Madlena, an investigative journalist who has appeared on The Young Turks' news show in the past. Together, Iadarola and Madlena take a trip to the frigid polar region in order to take in the natural splendor around them, connect with some of the local natives, and examine the ways in which climate change has impacted our northernmost climate.
A preview of their journey can be seen in a trailer for True North. The trailer premiered last month.

Two journalists will venture through the Arctic to explore the science behind climate change for a new digital series from The Young Turks (Tyt Network).
Titled True North, the docuseries will star ThinkTank creator John Iadarola and investigative reporter and filmmaker Chavala Madlena -- who has worked with The Guardian and BBC. Over the course of 16 episodes, Iadarola and Madlena will explore the impact that climate change has had on the land and people of the Arctic, visiting an abandoned town, learning how to dogsled, hiking on glaciers, and more. True North will bow on Verizon’s go90 video platform on April 19, just ahead of Earth Day, while additional clips will also roll out weekly to Verizon-owned HuffPost.
