Little did anyone know when “The Real Housewives of Orange County” premiered on Bravo on March 20, 2006, that it would change both popular culture and the nature of celebrity. “The Real Housewives” didn’t invent the docusoap format — that distinction goes to MTV for creating “The Osbournes” (2002), “Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica” (2003) and “Laguna Beach” (2004), all of which “Real Housewives” would take lessons from. But “The Real Housewives of Orange County,” which followed life in the Orange County gated community Coto de Caza, and was designed to be a reality TV version of ABC’s smash hit “Desperate Housewives,” took the genre to an immersive, expansive and obsessive new level.
Though the show originated to chronicle the lives of rich women, “The Real Housewives” quickly turned into something else, and has followed cast members as they’ve experienced divorce, addiction, mental health challenges, severe economic hardships, and even illness and death. Along the way,...

Lynne Curtin’s marriage and financial troubles played out on The Real Housewives of Orange County on the fourth and fifth seasons of the show. Back in 2012, Curtin decided it was time to end her marriage, filing for divorce from Frank Curtin, citing “irreconcilable differences.” The two married in 1990. “I love Frank, but it was time to go out on my own,” Lynne reportedly said back in 2012 when she announced her legal separation from Frank, adding, “Who knows what the future holds, but I’m looking forward to doing the things that I want to do.” As for Frank, he didn’t […]

Lynne Curtin is happy and in love.
Five years ago, the Real Housewives of Orange County alum separated from her husband of 22 years, Frank Curtin, in 2012 citing “irreconcilable differences,” TMZ reported.
“After more than 20 years of marriage Frank and I have decided to go our separate ways,” Curtin, who shares daughters Raquel and Alexa with Frank, told Radar at the time. “I love Frank but it was time to go out on my own.”
But in the half decade since the former couple split, Curtin has become a grandmother, expanded her jewelry line and “found a new love” in her life.

Another ‘Housewives’ marriage bites the dust. Are you surprised that Lynne and Frank Curtin are getting a divorce?
Six days after Bethenny Frankel announced she was separating from husband Jason Hoppy, fellow Bravo star Lynne Curtin, formerly of The Real Housewives of Orange County, filed for divorce from her husband of 22 years, Frank Curtin.
Lynne cited “irreconcilable differences” in her divorce documents and asked a judge to award her spousal support, according to TMZ.
Lynne announced their separation in May 2012. “I love Frank but it was time to go out on my own,” she told Radar Online. “Who knows what the future holds, but I’m looking forward to doing the things that I want to do.”
At the time, Frank, 57, told the Orange County Register, “I’m not a willing participant in this. It hurts to even think about it or talk about it. Call me old-fashioned, but I take my vows very seriously.

'The Real Housewives of Orange County' might've been overshadowed by their counterparts in Beverly Hills, Atlanta, New York and New Jersey these past few years, but Bravo's trailer for the newest season of the original Housewives proves they haven't lost their flair for the dramatic just yet.
In the one-and-a-half-minute clip, the ladies talk vaginal rejuvenation, the danger of gold diggers (pot, meet kettle) and divorce, then get into fights that would be immature even for high schoolers. Someone actually shouts "Your husband was rude to my husband!" before a shoving match breaks out. Ah, it feels good to be back.
Though Lynne Curtin isn't listed as a full-time cast member, she pops up in the trailer along with former Housewife Jeana Keough. The newbies this season are Peggy Tanous, a stay-at-home-mom-slash-model, and Fernanda Rocha, the first lesbian cast member.

Last year, The Real Housewives of Orange County star Lynne Curtin was kicked out of her house. Now Bravo's booted the bizarre brunette from its hit series. Curtin, who joined the mostly blonde cast in season 4, let cameras film her cosmetic surgery (with her 19-year-old daughter Raquel), eviction from her Laguna Beach home and criticism by a "youthologist" and her fellow castmates for her lousy discipline of her bratty daughter Alexa. So far, the newest entry in the 'Real Housewives' franchise -- the D.C. version -- is proving to be less interesting on screen than off, but things are heating up on 'The Real Housewives of Orange County' before the show's sixth season even begins.

Instead, she and her family have been replaced by Peggy Tanous and her husband Mitch, who are friends of current 'Housewives' star Alexis Bellino and her husband Jim.

If you would've told me last year this time that I would be writing a review of something related to the Real Housewives franchise, I would've laughed in your face and told you to go to hell afterwards. Well, man, how a year can change you. Why do I say that? Because I am now a bona fide, proud addict of all things Housewives and my addiction kind of knows no boundaries; like salivating over the tell-all book "The Real Housewives Get Personal" when Bravo Producer Andy Cohen introduced it on his Bravo talk show 'Watch What Happens!' When I finally got the book this weekend, I ate it up in two and half days (four hours technically) and wanted more in every sense of the word.

The Real Housewives of Orange County will always be a show that I just can't turn away from. Regardless of how I feel about Vicki, Tamra, Lynne, and Gretchen, it's the perfect antidote to channel-surfing boredom, simply because you don't have to pay very close attention to still understand the drama. (On any given episode just accept any of these philosophies: "Tamra's a bitch," "Vicki's a bitch," "Gretchen's a gold-digger!" and you'll be set.) Despite my twisted love for the show, the most recent season felt tired. (The same goes for The Real World, another reality staple.) I...

So, the fact that Radar Online has uncovered the divorce documents filed by Tamra Barney's husband, Simon, this week isn't a shocker.
What Simon is accusing Tamra of in the divorce suit does shock us.

Is this mom of four a … desperate housewife?
There’s going to be one less housewife on the posh Oc block. The Real Housewives of Orange County star Tamra Barney will soon be a single lady now that her husband of almost 12 years, Simon, filed for divorce Jan. 7 in Orange, Calif., Radar Online reports.
We can’t say we didn’t see this coming, especially when the teary-eyed blonde, 42, confided to her mom in an preview for tonight’s episode that not only were she and Simon going through a rough patch, but they were headed down to that dreaded “D” word: Divorce.
But what we didn’t expect was why — and now we’re finding out Simon was the one who pulled the plug on the relationship. In the divorce papers he claimed she “has been verbally abusive” and has been cheating on him!

Would you say “I do” to the same man twice?
Vicki Gunvalson could’ve easily given up on her marriage when she started to feel it was fizzling, but instead she did the exact opposite. The Real Housewives of Orange County star worked hard to repair her 15-year relationship, and instead of divorcing, ended up walking down the aisle again.
“I felt like we needed a new start,” Vicki, 47, explains to Life & Style of the reason behind re-marrying her hubby, Donn. “Our relationship had started to feel platonic.”
After complaining about an “empty love tank” on her Bravo reality show in 2008, Vicki realized it was going to take a lot of hard work to mend her marriage, but in the end, it was worth all the trouble.
How did the couple learn to fall in love again? Vicki says that not did they start counseling, but they also started going...

It's been a rough year for popular O.C. Housewife, Lynne Curtin. Earlier this summer, she and her family were evicted from their home for not paying their rent, as seen on the popular Bravo! reality show, The Real Housewives of Orange County. Now, according to TMZ, Lynne and her husband have a bench warrant issued in their name in connection with their failure to appear in court regarding a $1.2 million dollar judgement won against them by a former business partner. Viewers of the show may know Lynne as the calm, grounded, yoga-practicing O.C. mom. We can only wonder how calm and grounded...

On The Real Housewives of Orange County, Lynne Curtin faced concerns about her financial problems by going out and getting a face lift. That's right, she bought something that she probably couldn't pay for, but couldn't be repossessed. Well, now Real Housewive's Lynne Curtain is in financial trouble with the law.
Lynne and Frank Curtin have a judgment against them involving $1.2 million and they didn't pay up. Because of that failure to pay, a Riverside County, California judge issued a bench warrant for the couple to appear in court and explain themselves. The court date was Monday, December 21. The Real Housewives of O.C.’s Lynne Curtin and her teen daughter Raquel had some mother-daughter bonding…by going under the knife together
Talk about an intense bonding experience! Last summer, The Real Housewives of Orange County’s Lynne Curtin got plastic surgery with her 19-year-old daughter Raquel. One eye-lift and a nose job later, the mother-daughter duo are finally dishing about their transforming experiences.
Lynne is more than aware that getting surgery with her daughter was a controversial move, but she still thinks it was a worthwhile experience.
“It’s not radical, and it makes her feel good,” Lynne told Life & Style Weekly. “I’m happy that she’s happy. And I’m also happy because I don’t have to listen to her complain about it anymore!”
Raquel had her mom’s blessing, but she says she would have gotten the work done whether her mom approved or not.

After New Jersey's table-flipping, New York's power-promoting and Atlanta's "unbeweaveable" wig-yanking, are we really ready to head back west for season 5 of The Real Housewives of Orange County? Yes! With the return of Vicki Gunvalson, Tamra Barney, Jeana Keough, Gretchen Rossi and Lynne Curtin -- plus the addition of someone to take on Vicki, new Housewife Alexis Bellino -- Bravo is banking on its first ladies to keep it real and deliver the drama. And based on Thursday's season premiere, it looks promising. But first, here's where we left off: Tamra may not have flipped a table but she did get Gretchen "naked wasted" and sent her own son to seduce her during a dinner at her house. And she followed up at the reunion with the accusation that Gretchen was cheating while caring for her then-ailing, now-late fiancé Jeff. An accident-prone Vicki (Recall the fall from the podium? The football to the head?...

Lately, I feel like I need a shower after watching an episode of any of the Real Housewives on Bravo. The franchise is getting progressively trashier, which probably doesn't bother Bravo because the ratings have continued to boom.
This latest news might help The Real Housewives of Orange County when it returns. Reality star Lynne Curtin has been accused of stealing furniture from the house she'd been renting for the show. Not only that, but the homeowner is claiming Curtin also destroyed property before vacating.
That image is diametrically opposite of the one presented on the show. Curtin's home was never revealed to be a rental for starters. Her domestic situation was also seemingly secure and stable, with no problems with her husband and children.Continue reading Real Orange County wife evicted and scandalized

Maybe Lynne Curtin's "carefree and laidback" parenting style is starting to spread to her pocketbook. The Real Housewives of Orange County newcomer and hubby Frank Curtin have three days to dig up nearly $12,000 or else face eviction from their rented Laguna Beach abode. And to think we were led to believe that sum qualified as chump change in the O.C. (And, thanks to her Bravo bio, that Lynne and Frank owned their home.) According to court documents, the Curtins still owe their landlord a $10,000 security deposit, as well as a $600 late fee and $1,763 in other expenses. A rep for Bravo told E! News that the network will not be commenting on Lynne's supposed financial...

Season five of Bravo's tintillating profile of Southern Californian bling-encrusted, botox-filled cadre of cougars, "The Real Housewives of Orange County," is well into production. News is already coming down the wire that rookie Alexis Bellino is adding her own brand of drama to O.C. spectacle.
When not embracing her sun-drenched life with entrepreneurial husband Jim and their three young tots, Alexis busies herself with the up market diversions of Newport and the surrounding Southern California coast.
The plucky 32-year-old blonde is the newest recruit to the popular diva vehicle driven by veterans Tamra Barney, Lynne Curtin, Vicki Gunvalson, Jeana Keough and Gretchen Rossi.
