Rob was born in San Juan to a Jewish mother and a Puerto Rican father.
Rob has been around entertainers, singer and actors since he was born.
At the age of 2, he would sit with uncle, Hector Urdaneta who would
teach him the scales. At 4, Rob,his brother John, his grandmother and
his mother relocated to New York City where he attended P.S. #5 and was
drawn to the stage in the school adaption of "Mary Poppins". Later at
Jordan L. Mott J.H.S. #22 Rob joined the band and where his
entertainment passion began. As an honor student and Drama major in
H.S. Rob starred in over 15 stage plays. In the summer of 1975, he
decided to try out for York Little Theater's "Annie Get Your Gun" where
he received his first supporting role and received raved reviews in the
Daily Sentinel. Rob went on to star in 7 other York Little Theatre
productions during the next 5 years.
Rob also attended Academy One Modeling in Portland Oregon where he modeled runway for about a year. Afterward, he focused on his first and only love,"Writing". Rob would right short stories that would amaze the readers. After several years of background work on films such as "Parenthood" and "Superboy", in 1989, Rob decided to produce his first TV drama "Just Say No", later he produced "Global Jobline Weekly". Rob moved to L.A. in Nov 1996 to pursue his career in the industry here and in 2001 he began the sitcom pilot "Casting Couch".
In Jan 2003, Rob finished a short story entitled; "Voices of the Past" Six months later, he picked up the short story and began writing the screenplay this time entitled; "Voices". The first draft was finished by Nov 2004. Rob continued refining it for 3 years and in Feb 2007, he began casting the roles which ended in July 2007 with the casting of Renzo Lewis, Zack Gold, Rodrigo Rojas, Jeremy Adsit and Katherin Kovin-Pacino (cast in both Journey Of Echoes: Well of Souls feature film and the series).
Life is coming full circle for Rob, because now he the production are planning to film the motion picture as well as portions of the series in San Juan P.R.
