Much of the film takes place after a devastating meteorite strike; survivors must live below ground, or face the radiation and infection above. For the first hour, everything story-wise comes across well. Then, the tone shifts from a serious dramatic thriller to an overly sombre series of scenes. This shift, in tone, is a bit disconcerting. – Exclusive: The 12th Annual Sunscreen Film Festival announced its official selections for the 2017 event featuring films with Alec Baldwin, Dylan McDermott, John Cleese, Daphne Zuniga and more. Opening night will feature Michael Mailer’s newest film, “Blind,” a romantic-drama, starring Alec Baldwin, Demi Moore and Dylan McDermott. Closing night will wrap up the festival with “Albion: The Enchanted Stallion,” a family fantasy adventure, starring John Cleese, Debra Messing, Jennifer Morrison and Stephen Dorff.
Retrospective Screenings will include Daphne Zuniga appearance at the festival honoring the 30th anniversary of “Spaceballs.” Also in this category will be “The Greatest Show on Earth,” from 1952 directed by Cecile B. DeMille, which won the Oscar for Best Pictures and Best Writing in 1953. The screening will honor the closing of the Ringling Bros.

A new post-apocalyptic thriller, titled Last Broken Darkness, will begin shooting in South Africa. The film involves a meteor shower, which reduces humanity to near extinction. But, several survivors find refuge underground. This title will star Sean Cameron Michael (Chappie, "Black Sails") and Suraya Santos. Christopher-Lee Dos Santos will direct. A preview for the film is hosted here. As well, a concept poster has been released for Last Broken Darkness. The graphic shows washed out colours as two characters run from danger. Meteorite streaks can be seen in the sky and the setting has been reduced to ashes. More on this film will be released, once shooting begins, shortly. Release Date: Tba. Eternity is a thriller from South African director Christopher-Lee Dos Santos. This is a vampire styled film, which puts bloodsuckers on the streets in daylight. A new vaccine allows a Johannesburg coven of neck-biters to stalk the living, without fear of the sun. Now, a trailer is available below and the film will debut in South Africa December 24th, with a North American release upcoming. Have a look at the action packed trailer below, which seems to be displayed as a music video; also, hang in there till the one minute mark, where a flurry of frantic action takes place!

South African director Christopher-Lee dos Santos’ feature film debut Eternity seems to fall somewhere between Blade and Underworld.
Billy is a vampire who falls in love with a human girl named Jenny. Jenny’s father happens to be a scientist working on a cure for HIV/AIDS who, accidentally, creates a serum that allows vampires to daywalk. The discovery sets off a war between the vampire clans with the traditionalists, led by Constantine, who believe the serum is a defamation of the blood and Borlak, a young vampire who wants to move the race out of darkness. It’s here that the film’s synopsis, available in much more detail at the official website, loses me because we then have Billy going up against the nasty sounding Borlak with no indication on how he fits into the equation beyond crushing on the human girl. I’m assuming we learn more...
