Well the road to Wrestlemania continues for the WWE with the Raw-exclusive pay-per-view Fastlane, one of the companies lesser PPV’s… For most fans this is just the WWE spinning it’s wheels while waiting for the biggest event in the wrestling calendar.
Taking place at the Bmo Harris Bradley Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Fastlane opens with a video package showing all the big matches: Owens vs Goldberg, Bayley vs Charlotte, and Reigns vs Strowman. So we know right there that the only titles possibly changing hands in this event will be either the Womens Title or Universal Championship – Gallows and Anderson surely to retain given the non-focus on their match.
As always Spoilers if you haven’t seen the PPV yet…
Opening Fastlane is Samoa Joe vs Sami Zayn in a match that is sure to Not live up to the fantastic Nxt rivalry the pair had prior to their subsequent call-ups.

If you tuned into the 1000th episode of WWE Raw on Monday night then you were privy to the awesome news:
The Rock, The People’s Champion, The Great One will return once again at Royal Rumble in January for a championship match against…well against whoever is the WWE Champion in January. The Rock cooked it, and we smelled it and yay, it was good.
It was an exciting revelation for two reasons: 1, any match The Rock is in is bound to be electrifying (that’s like his whole thing), and 2, could this represent a renewed commitment to the sport by the Brahma Bull? If he wins the title, that then leads me to pose the question ‘does he stay in the WWE, at least for now?’
This revelation has got us excited! We compiled a run-down of the three most likely opponents to face The Rock at next...

It's the start of a New Year. So naturally people are making their New Year's resolutions.
Personally, I don't believe in New Year's resolutions. But that doesn't stop me from inflicting resolutions on other people. What if TV networks had New Year's resolutions? I suspect it would look a little like this:
CBS:
When you're on top of the ratings, it's tough to argue that you need to change anything. Sure we like to make fun of CBS for having awful comedies like Two and a Half Men (despite its massive ratings). And yes we like to remind CBS that they tend to lean towards the older crowd. But hey, they're #1!
But in 2012, the one thing CBS has to work on is trying to get their dramas to stick. CSI and Criminal Minds are getting older, and their new dramas are hit or miss in the ratings. Yes, NCIS gets monster ratings,...

I'm trying to figure out exactly what form this will take, but perhaps I'm overthinking it: American Gladiators will become a feature film. Not a documentary, but an honest-to-goodness dramatic adaptation of one of the first competition shows on television.
Show creator Johnny Ferraro is working with former Legendary Picture marketing executive Scott Mednick to bring the weekly David vs. Goliath battles to a theater near you. All we can tell you is that the film will bring characters into an action story that takes place in the world of the Gladiators.
Here's where it gets interesting...well, relatively. Ferraro tells Variety that American Gladiators was first envisioned as a film but then "took a detour and became a TV phenomenon." The show originally aired in 1988, when steroids, mullets, and spandex were decidedly more socially acceptable, and it enjoyed a revival on NBC in 2008. That version was co-hosted by Hulk Hogan,...
