Tom O'Connor is a Writer, Director, Comedian, Actor, VO Actor, Improvisor, Editor, and (former) Punk Rock Musician. Trained at the top Improv theaters on two coasts: Improv Boston, Groundlings, IO West, bang., Hothouse Spontaneous Theater & Upright Citizen's Brigade, Tom has performed in thousands of live shows (scripted & improvised) and is also a master-level improv teacher. He has also written/directed/performed two full one-hour solo theater projects "A Punk's Tale" and "Saints-A-Go-Go."
In addition to joke writing and "segment producing" on the comedy reality/dating program "Blind Date" Tom has years of experience adapting anime scripts & programs from Japan, Korea, Mexico, Spain, and other countries into English language scripts. He also has extensive experience doing uncredited rewriting & ghostwriting assignments for Film, TV, and books.
Tom turned his award-winning short sci-fi comedy script "The Tiny Spaceship" into a beloved short film that has screened for international audiences.
He has also written for print, with bylines in: DC Comics, McSweeney's, & the Los Angeles Times newspaper.
