After five episodes of “American Idol” focused on auditions, the show shifted to Hollywood week on March 24. Expect plenty of fireworks as the three judges — pop princess Katy Perry, country superstar Luke Bryan and Oscar-winning singer/songwriter Lionel Richie — decide which of the hopefuls to take forward in the competition and which will get a farewell hug from host Ryan Seacrest.
Over the course of the two episodes devoted to Hollywood Week the contestants sing in three rounds: lines of 10, groups, and solos. The judges will winnow the list down to just 40 who will sing in a showcase set to air on Sunday, March 31. (Spoilers: The men and women who made the Top 40.)
Those contenders will be culled down to just half that number and that Top 20 will be judged on both solo performances and celebrity duets over the course of three episodes starting Monday, April 1. Once the live playoffs...

When beauty queens took on the challenge of the obstacle course on the latest "Wipeout," it was anything but beautiful. Former Miss Newport Beach Laci Kay was up first, and she was hoping to be named "Miss Wipeout" by conquering the course. Things didn't quite go that way.
Instead, she might take the title of "Miss Wiped Out Into The Mud." In fact, she wiped out and into the mud more than once, coming up completely coated. She looked like a mud sculpture of a beauty queen when all was said and done.
She actually did finish the course, though, just not all in one piece. "Do I look hot?” she asked, coated in mud and looking a bit of a mess.
“I just think I should be on TV," Laci said. Jill Wagner pointed out that she was. Like, right at that moment. Unfortunately, that was the end of Laci's time on the show,...

This one is probably more thriller than horror, but the synopsis does say "mysterious" events occur, and once we got a look at the genre-heavy cast members, we figured we'd share the new teaser trailer for Human Factor that landed in our inbox today and send ol' 2011 out with a bit of social consciousness.
Human Factor was written by Chaz Fatur (who also directs), Eric Goren, Patricia Goren, and Ian M. Wagner. On the acting side you will find Eric Roberts (The Dark Knight, Chillerama), Tom Sizemore (Natural Born Killers, True Romance), Danny Trejo (Machete, Predators), Charisma Carpenter ("Buffy/Angel", The Expendables), David Zayas ("Dexter"), George Lazenby (In Her Majesty's Secret Service), Shalim Ortiz ("CSI: Miami", "Heroes"), Keith David, Kim Sønderholm, Laci Kay, Walker Howard, Deborah Twiss, Doug Jones, Ben Cross, and Gary Daniels.
