Clarinet-playing bandleader, a graduate of Akron University. Reynolds played in the orchestra of
Isham Jones before forming his own band in Cleveland in 1940. Emulated the style of (but was overshadowed by) fellow clarinettist
Artie Shaw. The band's theme song was 'Pipe Dreams'. From the mid-1950's, as musical director, he produced "Bandstand U.S.A." for radio/TV station WOR in New York.
